North Korea won't do anything because Kim is smart enough to realize that he's screwed the moment he does. He and his elite are grandstanding to maintain the tension and keep themselves in the wonderful situation of power and wealth they're in right now.
The West won't do anything because it doesn't want to destabilize the world economy and the current status quo between China, US, EU and Russia, and because it's aware of the huge potential loss of life of innocent North and South Koreans.
Both sides know this of one another. The West knows NK won't do anything or Kim will lose everything in an instant, and NK knows the West won't do anything because it's a huge risk to millions of lives and the world economy / international relations. And then there's also this little thing of nuclear war in the area that pretty much everyone is hoping to avoid. Kim is just grandstanding because his position of power depends on millions feeding into this cult of his divinity facing the wicked America.
US dropped nukes on civvies and got away with it, whats stopping them now? Truman and the gang were hailed heroes. Trump could be known as the man who nuked a chubby demi-god.

Not really. I'm taking the animation program because I find it interesting and I'll improve my technical skill as an artist. I don't really intend to make much use of it outside of my hobbies. The plan was to use the degree to move into teaching afterwards. There's not much else I could take that would interest me.
Studying that is a waste of money. Might as well go teach.

Teaching is super rough dude. And when the pay and benefits are that good, there's a reason.
The reason is because northern Canada is considered undesirable by most people and no one wants to teach, erm... "disenfranchised" aboriginal kids in the Teritories. You're also expected to move thousands of miles away from where you live. But if you recall that's sort of what I wanted to do as a teacher.
I'd say if you're not struggling and your family has money you should pursue your education.
Well I could do both. Part-time school, part-time work. There's a chance I could do something with my (eventual) animation degree but in both scenarios I don't make much use of it.

It would lead to me having lots of free time and money to fund doing stuff I want to do.
No I meant not pursuing the money. Would that definitely lead to something you want to do? Otherwise making money is important too.
Well I want to do that teaching thing right? But there's no guarantee that I'll enjoy that either. I only assume that I'll enjoy it.
Continuing my education in animation is what I want to do right now, even if I don't use it in my profession. But I'm sure I could both take this job opportunity and do that schooling.
It's not a guarantee that I'll enjoy my program or enjoy eventually teaching. I'm just pretty sure I'll enjoy them, based on how well I know myself.
