What do you want to change?
Where I am, what I do, who I'm around. Everything.

That is Soviet Union, I am talking about New Russia not making friends after the union fell through.
Like FAS 'Federation of Allied States' to counter NATO.
Kinda hard to make alliances and friends when your economy, borders, and government falls to ashes. I think they're slowly making allies now, but yeah it's in no way even within breathing distance of what NATO is.
Like I said, should have acted sooner while some nations still liked the idea of having some sort of union in Eastern Europe.
Too late now.
Well China and Russia could form some kinda cooperation like they're doing now, but even then it's not nearly as close as people like to think. And Russia invading Ukraine more or less killed any Eastern nations wanting to be part of them again.
Russia could liberate Europe from the EU and they could be seen in positive light.
I wish the mods would liberate this forum from your shitposting.

The paper states there's a 40% loss in sales for blockbuster films...that's pretty fucking huge, and arguably a source of cinema as a dying medium bloated with massive budgets for shitty reboots/sequels/licensed films, with ticket costs doubling in the past two decades.

I really just struggle to see how you can look at any pirating community, where a typical member has hundreds or thousands of pirated films, games, albums, etc., and not come to the conclusion that sales were lost from those downloads. This isn't a case of someone not purchasing luxury goods outside of their disposable income -- media like this is literally designed to be widely marketable, even to poor people.
I don't see how shitty reboots and sequels have anything to with piracy. I also don't see how $20 a ticket is widely marketable "even to poor people".

Piracy leads to 40% loss in blockbuster tickets sold —> studios produce safer films that are more guaranteed to sell tickets like reboots and sequels. Not sure where you can find a $20 ticket; even decent theaters in NY are under that, and theaters aren't the only way to consume film. If this and similar studies are to be believed, pirates typically pay more for media than non-pirates...so if you're justifying piracy because people can't afford media, then they'd probably save more money not pirating.

Also, I've pirated a ton and I don't oppose it. I'm just saying it's pretty dumb to headline that piracy doesn't affect sales when there's a demonstrable 40% loss in ticket sales.
I was talking about pirating video games.

I don't think piracy makes studios "play it safe". Studios are just lazy and make easy movies. Piracy isn't destroying the film industry. Nothing is lmao. There are plenty of good movies coming out every year.

Gaming / Re: Question
« on: September 25, 2017, 08:35:56 PM »
Just sayin, i find it much more convenient to be able to use both a rechargeable battery and AA batteries on the boner than to be forced into using the rechargeable batter on the ps4. There have been times where i pick up the controller on the PS4 and then realize that i'm going to have to wait another hour or two to actually be able to play because i left the battery on like 10% without realizing it the last time i played.
Not to say you don't have a point (xbone controller is better for having removable batteries), but can you not just plug it up to the charging cable? It's what I do when my controller isn't charged.
That makes sense, I have a 6ft micro-usb that I use to charge my controller/phone. For some reason the controller will only charge if it's plugged into the PS4 though, so I just usually leave it cabled all the time.

charging cable doesn't reach to my couch
good job

If you're dumb enough to be tricked by some dude in drag and you fuck him, then realize he's male afterwards, you're not gay. You're gay if you do it again and don't violently beat the freak within an inch of his life.

This sounds emotionally charged, speaking from experience?
Not at all, I simply believe the most effective way to cure humanity of these illnesses is to throw these "people" off the nearest roof.
