It is lumped into the Middle East due to cultural similarities. It is not the Middle East in location, but in shared traits between the two.
I mean Argentina has a million Muslims.
Last I checked, Argentina is halfway around the globe.
Africa is totally different to Arab countries. They're pretty far apart too, that's why I'm bringing up Argentina. Lumping everybody together like this is just dumb. A term like "Muslim Nations" makes more sense.

Yes, but Islam is, for the most part, concentrated in the North. Sub-Saharan Africa is more Christian or Animism. Plus, Kenya is one of the countries divided between the two/three (See the map).
