I think it's like, right after the tutorial part. The first area you get to after the tutorial, or maybe it's still the tutorial. I don't know. There was a staircase boulder trap, and even if it is avoidable, it shouldn't be there.
All the traps should be developer made and done without messages. Like in a good game. Zelda, for fuck's sake, has all kinds of traps that are difficult to avoid, but don't need the cheap "GO IN THIS ROOM" shit.
Well Flee showed you the tutorial and you said that wasn't it, and there's no boulders for a while after the tutorial, you're either lying or maybe you played Demon's Souls. Either way git gud.

Verby, the key thing to the PvP/invasions is that you need to have restored your humanity at a bonfire for them to invade. If you don't, then you don't lose much, you look like a zombie, and you can't summon players/NPCs to help you. That's really it. That's too much.

The pros completely outweigh the cons of an occasional person trying to jump off a ledge. Invading is Dark Soul's multiplayer. You can also summon people to help you defeat an area or a boss. In fact you can make a lot of souls (money in Dark Souls) getting summoned into people's worlds and helping them defeat bosses.
