If it was, then recidivism would be like 100%. That 43% shows prison either deterred them from making another mistake or they sought help on their own initiative. You can't force a person to change and the only thing you can do is just place them back behind bars if they commit more crime.

This isn't "gritty work", you sheep. A child is not a valid source of information, especially under duress. This is a clear violation of rights and their humanity, and NOTHING was gained from it. Do you understand that? NOTHING WAS GAINED. Will children inevitably get caught in the crossfire of a battle? Yes. Is it inevitable we torture children for absolutely no reason? Absolutely not. There is nothing to gain and nothing was gained. All we did is make more enemies and justify their cause.
Children don't need valid information, they could also be used as a method of psychological warfare for the enemy. There are no rules in war, so why try to limit ourselves in our effectiveness? It would let the enemy know, hey, we're not fucking around, you're gonna get fucked.
