In 2012, there were 8,855 total firearm-related homicides in the US. The average number of people shot by police annually is around 400. Tell me how 400 is a majority compare to over 8,000
Just because there no killings, that doesn't mean people can't be prepared. I guess people can't have smoke detectors if their house never caught on fire; I guess people can't have insurance if they've never gotten into an accident; I guess people shouldn't wear have first aid kits if they've never gotten hurt. People prepare for all sorts of situations, and this is no different
Tell me when I ever said anything about the entire country? I've been talking about Ferguson and how there are little to no deaths there in the first place. Back in high school I used to read for myself all the time. Now that the required course materials for my average class is probably around 600 pages, I really don't feel like reading anything else anymore. Kinda kills the reading drive when I have to spend at least 6 hours a day going through boring law stuff.
But don't stop. Or at least get back to reading when you have the time. Don't be one of those people who acts like they don't have time and just drift through life. I'm not judging and I don't want to be condescending, I'm just saying.
It doesn't have that much to do with not having the time, it's more about not feeling like it. When you spend 8+ hours a day reading through textbooks, court rulings and contracts, the last thing you feel like doing afterwards is sitting down to read some more. I don't really have any free days either. I have classes every weekday, and any time in between and the weekends I have to spend studying more.
I'll probably get back into reading eventually, but right now I'm just lacking the motivation. I'm way too glad when I get to close my books near the end of the day to open up another one for recreational purposes, even if it's fun.

The majority of people that go to America are in search of a better life and integrate into the country and culture. I don't give a fuck whether they're "legal" or not.
