I've given Desticle a warning. Now, please, both of you need to quit it before you're both lite-banned.
Can we change the term "lite-banned"? It's kinda gay.

Why not just "time out"?

Can we just stop talking about this shit?
You can stop if you want. I won't.
You realize you can't stop corruption by whining on the internet?
We can though. See, advertisers are not fans of controversy. And you need advertisers if you want to run a website.

Take serious and legal action. Otherwise this is just laughable.

Actually, all this shit has just given these losers publicity and page views.

Seriously, this is a joke.
Clearly you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. They're bleeding advertisers. We hit Gawker so hard they're trying to hide their advertisers (which is illegal).
And? These people still hold their ridiculous opinions and will continue to be in bed with developers.
We can't fix their delusional minds, but we can make it career suicide to associate with them.
But you're giving them all the ammunition and justification they need for their little justice crusade. In the long run, these people will be replaced by similar people and nothing will have been gained.

He isn't correct though. You can't live a "fabulous life" on minimum wage in America at all. You can't even live a good life. And to top it off, he says all this while having a bunch of super cars.
I'm not saying he is correct. I'm saying his wealth shouldn't be an issue. If you think he's wrong - fine, then say so. But I don't think the fact that he drives expensive cars needs to be an issue of the debate.
It's relevant to the point he's trying to make. I'm bringing it up because it's insulting to those of us who have been and/or are poor. Not only is he wrong, he's saying shit he's never experienced.
And that's fine, but it isn't necessarily his fault he's naive and wealthy. If you want to bring it up, then fine. But it just comes across like you're bashing him for being wealthy as opposed to being ignorant. That's my only problem here.

His wealth, while perhaps contributory, shouldn't be a point of criticism itself.
No, I'm "bashing" him for saying something ignorant like that.

Apart from that, it's insulting to those of us who were and/or are poor for him to say that while he has a garage full of super cars. What the fuck does he know about "living a fabulous life on minimum wage" if he's never experienced living a life off minimum wage?
I'm not concerned with whether or not he's experienced it; that doesn't disqualify him from being right. If he were to say something like "It's possible for British working-class single mothers to put kids into private school" without experiencing that, I know he'd still be correct.

I don't agree with his point, I just think his wealth has nothing to do with him being correct. Perhaps it has a bearing on him being wrong, but it needn't be brought up.

Why the fuck are we all jumping on BC's dick because he's rich. I don't know how he made his money, but being rich doesn't disqualify him from understanding fundamental aspects of human psychology and motivation.

Is he better off than most people and, probably, everybody on this forum? Yes. If he removed from the daily struggles of most people? Sure. But that doesn't make him wrong, in any sense. If you disagree with him, just because he's rich, then you're just as guilty as what you criticise him of.
It's financially impossible to live a "fabulous life" on minimum wage. You live in a shitty area and all that entails.

Apart from that, it's insulting to those of us who were and/or are poor for him to say that while he has a garage full of super cars. What the fuck does he know about "living a fabulous life on minimum wage" if he's never experienced living a life off minimum wage?

the title of the thread describes u right now

also, u posted another sentence fragment
*capitalization and punctuation
*you

Those who have proven themselves capable of writing well, such as myself, are allowed to break rules if it helps their rhetoric. For example--sentence fragments are not only acceptable, but encouraged by English professors for their rhetorical effect. They can elicit a sense of bluntness within the author's tone, among other things. I've established that when I type without capitalization/punctuation, I'm doing it because I want to create a relaxed tone, as if what is being said is being said while lounging on a couch or something--which usually tends to be the case anyway.

But since you think forum posts should be like formal essays, I will severely censure all of your posts as though I were critiquing some illiterate cunt's drivel--which I am.
tl;dr

No moreso than playing Halo makes you shoot up schools.

It's the correlation =/= causation shit once again, people who are in the sort of criminal culture described will find rap music appealing. But just because 20 Pence says that he's gonna put a bullet in any honkey with a mullet, doesn't mean that the average person who listens to that music is suddenly going to go out and cap a few rednecks.

Watching violent films doesn't make you violent.
Playing violent games doesn't make you a school shooter.
Reading Mein Kampfy Chair doesn't make you a nazi.
and listening to rap doesn't make you go out and start snorting coke, shooting white people and beating up hookers.
It doesn't, but it can influence a person. There exists a big difference; when I learned about Communism in school, it influenced me to become one for many years

Money can influence people to either do good, or to do bad
Power can influence people to do good, or to do bad
Intelligence can influence a people to do good, or to do bad

I went to schools that were majority black and can safely say the lyrics of mainstream rap, such as sex, crime, and drugs, can have a level of influence on youth. These rappers are the same role models these kids look up to and when they see them doing crime and talking about it, that will in turn have an influence
Sure, just about everything influences people.

I would say that having a shitty home environment, no father figure, no job prospects and being shot like animals in the street by the police and being third class citizens has more of an influence than some brainless twonk going 'nigganigganigganigga' into a mic.

You are however right about people using them as rolemodels, which is tied into not having a father figure/having something worse than no dad as a father.
So /thread then? After all, Meta stated the specific word of influence
Nope, because people were banging before rap. They started rapping about banging to bring awareness to what's going on.
