Not saying it's going to be a bad movie (hence the "promising nevertheless" part), but this trailer showed a very textbook and rather cliche plot.

Not really. The prison system is extremely abusive and a lot of people in solitary have been there for years. It's torture at that point. It's one thing to be put in for a day or even a few days, but not only is it inhumane, a lot of the inmates don't deserve it.
