You guys always focus on how people shoot each other, but never care about the stories of people who defend themselves and their families.
Find some stats showing that the cases of the uses of guns for home/personal defence outweigh the death/murder rate for gun related incidents, and you might have a point.
They don't. That's the harsh reality. But I will NEVER support taking away the freedom to defend yourself. That ONE old man defending his family in a month of violent shooting is worth it to me.

SISSIES GETTING
BTFO
There hasn't been a single good argument made in favor of a European ccw in this whole thread. I'm very content knowing that not every moron can legally and easily get his hands on a gun and be allowed to carry it in public.
The argument is defending yourself. It works well in Switzerland and other places. Why not all across Europe?
Since the beginning of time we have created and carried weapons. Now we're not supposed to carry them because what? The world is still a very dangerous place.
The argument of defending yourself is a very skewed one when in order to better defend yourself, you are also giving everyone else the opportunity to harm you more easily and severely.
People can harm you by outnumbering you. And it's not giving every dumbass a gun. Switzerland has its gun laws because of its militia. If you read up on them, you'll find that they actually aren't all that loose. It's not the European gun paradise some poorly informed people make it out to be. I'm well aware of their laws. And that last part isn't even a proper argument. "The world is dangerous in the first place, so giving every moron free and practically unlimited access to guns and letting them carry those guns around in public is surely going to make things better." Unlimited access? I just said in this thread that one pistol and one rifle should be the maximum for those who go through all sorts of tests and checks. A lot of people are stupid, violent and irresponsible. Just two days ago, I drove by a Taco Bell in the US where not even that long ago, some agitated idiot shot another person who I believe was working there over nothing but a petty argument that escalated.
That is not a place that I want to live in. You are welcome to disagree, but I feel so much safer out on the streets knowing that it is extremely unlikely someone else has a gun in his pocket. As I said before, there isn't much of a point in giving yourself a bigger stick for defence when doing so also gives everyone else a bigger stick for potential harm. People are killed for nothing all over Europe and the UK every day. Difference is they're stabbed or beaten to death. Everyone else doesn't get a stick. That's the point. The criminals are mostly going to be stuck with knives and women walking alone at night would be able to defend themselves from a pack of criminals. You guys always focus on how people shoot each other, but never care about the stories of people who defend themselves and their families.

Would you mind pointing out instances of new people being ganged up on? From what I've seen they're typically well received.
I'm not sure about new users, but it seemed kind of like Rocket was getting ganged up on after he posted his Halo 3 montage, for one. This all seems to start happening when he's not a mod anymore... because mods wouldn't tolerate that kind of treatment to themselves.
Oh no, people are rude once in a while.
Guess we should just kill ourselves.
Hey shut the fuck up
Stop derailing the thread weeb.
stop
lolweeb
Since when did you even care about that?
When did I care about that? When did I FUCKING care about that? I cared when I spent 6 years in 'Nam shooting you fucking GOOKS in the name of FREEDOM, motherfucker. Now you chink pieces of shit walk around like you own the place. FUCK OFF TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY SLANTY EYED GOOK FAGGOT

I do not live there and have never been there, so I cannot comment on their lifestyle at all. I always support people having the option to arm themselves though. I love firearms, it is a great hobby to get into. I do not care much for concealed carry personally. My city allows open carry, and I think that is better than concealed carry.
You would.
Open carry is fucking stupid as fuck unless you're on a ranch in bumfuck nowhere.
I would much rather live on a ranch in bumfuck nowhere than live in a congested city. My ideal living conditions would be in a forested area in the mountains with a nice lake nearby.
That doesn't really have anything to do with thread. Though I agree.

http://www.myfoxal.com/story/28027027/chilton-county-probate-judge-no-longer-performing-marriage-ceremonies?clienttype=generic&mobilecgbypass
Chilton County Probate Judge Bobby Martin will no longer perform marriage ceremonies at the county courthouse.
The judge said he typically performs about 16 marriage ceremonies a month.
When asked about the reason for the change, Martin said he isn't required to perform the ceremonies and as of Tuesday he "just stopped having ceremonies in the courthouse."
However, he told the Clanton Advertiser "I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and because of that, I will not perform a ceremony for a couple that doesn't fit in that criteria."
Martin wouldn't confirm to WSFA 12 News if the decision was related to the recent federal ruling that struck down the ban on same-sex marriage in Alabama. A hold on the ruling is set to expire Monday unless the U.S. Supreme Court approves Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange's motion for a stay.
Martin said he will issue marriage licenses to any couple who comes in starting Monday.
The current marriage license form includes spaces to enter information for the "bride" and "groom." Martin said he's expecting to get a new marriage license form from the Alabama Department of Public Health sometime Friday, but it will take some time to enter the new form into the computer system. He said the new form might not be in the system Monday if they don't get it until late Friday. I guess they were right - gay marriage IS destroying traditional marriage.
