Maybe play on normal to pass the beginning bit, then turn it back to hard. It's not like Dark Souls at all lol, there is just no checkpoint there.

What an incredibly snide, elitist, pedantic attitude you both have.
It's not elitist dude it's just that Dark Souls isn't a hard game. You can grind in that and be overleveled then breeze through. In Ninja Gaiden on the hardest difficulty you can grind and level up your weapons as much as you want but if you don't have impeccable timing and a very good understanding of the games mechanics, you're gonna have a really tough time getting through the game. Don't get me wrong Dark Souls is challenging. It's just that a lot of deaths are more from stupidity than actual difficulty.

I think it's the weakest of the 3. Not saying it's a bad game, since the "worst" of a Dark Souls is still good.
Leans too much on DS1 which is only doing a good job reminding you how much better Dark Souls 1 is
Doesn't try to go original and in a new direction like 2 did, even if it wasn't successful every time (and they removed dual wielding stances for weapon arts, which is basically just 3 to 4 different sets).

depends on who you ask. the bulk of the animation was done by south korean studios and the narrative & visual art styles are obviously heavily influenced by anime. at the same time, the creators and primary writers are white american guys. personally i see ATLA as existing in a sort of between space, not entirely western or eastern in its totality.
what about teen titans
another interesting case. it was animated by DC & WB's in house studios (the visual style does seem quite similar to anime conventions of the time) and the narratives drew from american comic lines. the guy who is credited as being that show's creator is japanese-american, and the guy who directed the most episodes has a chinese surname (michael chang).
