The mechanics in the game that are meant to be more immersive and realistic quickly become annoying. There's nothing innovative about NPCs leaving a spot during a quest because you failed to show up at the time right time(I'm sorry I found something interesting in the distance) most of the time it doesn't even change the course of the game you just get a cutscene where the NPC you were dealing with seems annoyed and that's that. Muh immersion
Archery is a load of bs too. I had to change the DPI on my mouse to the lowest to hit accurately and each type of arrow has a different level of performance which is just overkill, it's just a wooden shaft with feathers ffs

Fun fact, Tijuana has less crime and gun violence than most American cities and supposedly it's regarded as one of the most dangerous border towns. You're significantly safer walking around there than say, New York, Orlando, or San Francisco. Not to say it doesn't exist because it most certainly does, but most of the violence is exaggerated for American media. Which shouldn't come as surprise.
Also worth considering the fact that drug trafficking is entirely dependent on American demand.
The violence isn't about being mugged on the street. It's organized crime and cartels going at it with each other and the Feds.
Honest question, how much worse is the violence compared to American gang violence and mass shootings? Also it's entirely true that their access to guns is entirely the fault of the US's extremely lax gun laws.
I'd say the violence is a lot worse. There's random killings, kidnappings, torture, they hang bodies around town and leave severed heads all over the place. Gangs in America (apart from Chicago) have really calmed down for the most part. And even in the 90's when it was really poppin it was always gang on gang with some innocents caught in the middle.
