I will not play human vs human. Make some new race if you have to.
Read my previous comment. If they did a Pendulum wars game, they could have it be like a third of the story, then go into E-day, and eventually end with the Hammer of Dawn counterattack. That way Locust would still be in multiplayer. I am sure they will figure something out.

That death I must admit was very well done.

Unlike in Halo, it actually felt like Marcus and Dom had been brothers in arms for decades.
Sigma, play Gears 3 with me.
You wanna buy it for me, bb?
Buy it your damn self. Then play it with me.

Apology accepted Lemon, we can be friends. I am glad that you acknowledged The Walking Dead as the superior TV show.

Holy hell, you guys let any slight troll attempt by Noelle devolve into a bitch fest over which franchise is better.

Spoiler: Both are in the shitter now anyway
Attempt implies that I failed.

This shit is pretty much impossible because of the ten to twenty second delay on twitch while streaming. Have you ever tried playing a game on a console where the actions are delayed by just a second? It is almost impossible to play the game.

For the love of god, don't ruin 3's ending...it should take place before and between the trilogy.
There were rumors of a prequel game taking place during the Pendulum Wars. And there is enough stuff in the Gears universe for them to explore other squads in the CoG, in other areas of Sera.

Edit: And as you stated in your previous comment, I agree that Locust should be in multiplayer. With a Pendulum Wars game, I could see them telling the story of Carlos Santiago and having half the game take place during that time, and then the other half taking place during and after E-Day, and maybe ending with the Hammer of Dawn counterattack.

>drop-in drop-out 4 player across all three games

They would have to rewrite entire sections of Gears 1 to do that. There were a ton of segments where you only had two people. Besides that bit, a Fenix Collection would be cool.
Ya, not everything on that list would work, but it is a fan-compiled list. I am sure they would have to cut things, and would have things to add in themselves. I am not sure if a Marcus Fenix Collection would even be a possibility, but we will see. I could also see it including access to the Gears 4 beta.

I am sure we will have some sort of information about the future of Gears at GDC or E3.

If Gears 4 stays true to the Gears franchise and is as fun as Gears 3, I just might buy an xbone for it.
Judgement has like 400 players at the most on it at any time. Gears 3 has like 6,000 or more (I do not know an exact number, but everyone went back to Gears 2 and 3). Microsoft did not spend a shitton of money acquiring the entire franchise just to lose that money. They see what people want and are going to replicate that, because Judgement was a failure.

I'd say I was looking forward to a possible collection and Gears 4, but I lost all faith after judgement.
Judgement has literally nothing to do with the original Gears series. It was made by a completely different studio, made on a lower budget, made in a shorter period of time, and was not Microsoft's doing. That was when EPIC still ownder the Gears franchise and got bored with it. Rod Fergusson is now one of the project leads at Black Tusk and they are going to revive the series.

But they lowered the skill gap immensely by adding in starting weapons that take no skill to use while still out preforming the ones that do which basically thew the competitive aspect of the game into the garbage bin.
The Retro Lancer and Sawed-Off? I can completely agree on that, as can most Gears fans. I am pretty sure those will not be returning, and if they do, not as starting weapons. I always use the Hammerburst and the Gnasher.

The one thing Gears 3 did right though was horde.
And the gameplay. The gameplay from Gears 1 was clunky as fuck. The gameplay in Gears 2 was slower. The gameplay in Gears 3 was smooth and the cover and vaulting mechanics were refined. All three games had exceptional multiplayer maps. The maps are one of the greatest thing about the series.

Judgement has an online population of like 400 at the most. Gears 2 has thousands of players, and Gears 3 has thousands more than 2. EPIC did not make Judgement, and Rod Fergusson, one of the leads from the original trilogy, will be part of the development team at Black Tusk Studios. They want to make a Gears game like the first three before making major changes as well to prove that they can actually make the game right.
I already knew this. Spent a lot of time on their forums.
I still don't trust them to make a decent game, even with Rod at the wheel. Black Tusk is just another puppet for MS to play with. Though I don't want to judge too soon, try before I buy I suppose
Microsoft spent a lot of money acquiring the rights to this franchise. They see the numbers for Judgement and the numbers for the earlier games. Both the sales numbers and the online populations. They are not going to throw away all of the money they spent acquiring the series. I have enough faith in Microsoft wanting money that they will make an actual Gears game and not Gears of Duty.

Judgment put me off the future of the franchise and pretty much killed any interest I had in getting an XB1.

Does anyone still play 3? I fucking love that game.
Judgement is trash and nobody acknowledges it. Judgement has an online population of like 400 at the most. Gears 2 has thousands of players, and Gears 3 has thousands more than 2. The future of Gears of War
Microsoft acquired the rights to the Gears franchise more than a year ago
Quote
Today we're excited to announce that Microsoft Studios has acquired the rights to the “Gears of War” franchise from Epic Games, including rights to all existing and future games, entertainment experiences and merchandise. In addition, we are excited to announce that Black Tusk Studios in Vancouver, BC will take over development of the “Gears of War” franchise and that Rod Fergusson, former Director of Production at Epic Games on the “Gears of War” franchise, will join Microsoft and play a key studio leadership role at Black Tusk on the development of the franchise going forward.

Developer: Black Tusk Studios

Rod Fergusson, one of the production leads on the original Gears trilogy has joined Black Tusk.

Last year, a vote went up on the Xbox forums uservoice section regarding Gears of War. Fans wanted to see a "Marcus Fenix Collection" come to Xbox One. There have been rumors that it could actually be coming out either Fall this year, or Fall of 2016, which would be the ten year anniversary of the Gears franchise.
Spoiler

Rumors have been spreading of a possible Gears of War themed Xbox One bundle. Nothing is confirmed, but I could see it eventually happening. If the rumors about the Marcus Fenix Collection are false, then I could see this eventually happening for Gears of War 4.
