Noelle, have you considered that these comments are why you experience hostility from so many people?
I do not experience hostility from very many people at all. What?

People knew how the system worked and would just avoid screwing up big enough for a lite-ban. They would think "ok......I got one warning. Now I can get about 10% more then I'll stop".
People knowing exactly how far they can push things without being banned, is a problem.
No it is not. Everyone should be taught to push rules and question authority.

Not that I care about Gears of War, but isn't posting spoilers in the title kind of a dick move? I mean, whatever, I know it's an old game, but still.
This thread was made after another thread saying "Cortana is dead!". It was meant to be a joke thread towards that, and then got more responses.

That's not how it would have been if Bethesda made the next Fallout game after 3. Fallout 4 will be more dumbed down then New Vegas or 3, you can tell that because of how Besthesda has been treating the Elder Scrolls series.
lol I do not know how to respond to this. I know the cool thing to do is to hate on popular things that are good, like Bethesda, but you do not have to join the little kiddies who are trying to be cool. You can have your own opinions and actually enjoy things that are good, like Bethesda's games.

The mechanics and story was so much better in New Vegas though, the companions all felt like real people worth caring about, unlike 3 where they were all blander then John Cena.
Well, obviously. Fallout 3 revived an otherwise dead series, and brought it into a new world. New Vegas expanded upon and improved what Bethesda had already done. Obviously a sequel is going to have improvements to gameplay.

After I played Fallout 1 and 2, I preferred NV far more than 3 since it went more in depth with gameplay mechanics (as a sequel should. I don't think that harms Fallout 3's argument) and the story they had.
However I still enjoy Fallout 3. Honestly I think the hate it gets is rather silly in the grand scheme of things. People forget it revived the series and wasn't that bad. I guarantee you anyway who played it when it was first around and beat it and all that didn't sit there and say "THIS SUCKS!"
then go to NV and go "THIS IS AMAZING!"
I think opinions changed over time.
Fallout 3 actually had a world I cared about exploring. It had such an amazing and lonely atmosphere. There were so many random areas to explore that were actually interesting. In New Vegas, I enjoyed exploring, but everything felt the same. Everywhere I go I am going to run into some NCR soldiers. The area felt pretty small because of how spread out the NCR was.

Obsidian will be making another Fallout. They have a deal worked like treyarch and infinity ward. They switch whos along the game every year. Fallout 4 is Bethesda and the next one will be made by Obsidian.
Is this true? Gimme sources please, because that's awesome.
No it is not true.

>wanting a Fallout 4 after the turd Fallout 3
If it's made by Obsidian I will give a shit.
If it isn't, I will not give a single shit.
Fallout 3 wasn't shit. I mean, NV was a lot better (as it should be since it's a sequel), but Fallout 3 revived a series that was otherwise dead in the water, and got a lot of people, including myself, into the amazing universe.
Sure they didn't do everything right, but it was still FUN to play for its time. A game that is absolute shit would be Assassins Creed Unity.
I do agree though that I want it to be made by Obsidian.
There will likely not be another Fallout made by Obsidian. I think we can all agree that Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas by the way. Obsidian and Bethesda kinda have some negative feelings towards each other.

Best: Bethesda if they announce Fallout 4. It does not even need to release, just acknowledge its existence please.

I don't want to turn this place into a hug box or an echo chamber by banning anyone who happens to disagree with the mod squad (we're already apparently circlejerk central) but I also don't want us to continue to alienate members by being too lax with moderation.
Lax moderation is not what alienates members. That circlejerking shit and certain members crying to the mods are the actual problem. They need to stop taking this shit so seriously.

It doesn't matter really since both suck now.
Last I checked, Noelle told me this new game is basically their final hope to get things back on track since GoW 3 and Cliffy B leaving.
Companies are there to make money, not lose it. Gears of War Judgement was a failure sales wise, compared to the other games, and a failure in keeping a player base. Not even a year after release and it had low numbers of people in multiplayer. Gears 3 still consistently has 6,000+ players online. Microsoft just spent a lot of money acquiring the franchise. They are not going to repeat what they have seen as a failure, they are going to go for what they see people want, which is Gears 3.

I will not play human vs human. Make some new race if you have to.
Read my previous comment. If they did a Pendulum wars game, they could have it be like a third of the story, then go into E-day, and eventually end with the Hammer of Dawn counterattack. That way Locust would still be in multiplayer. I am sure they will figure something out.
Not a bad idea, but at the same time, I want to move forward in this universe. Hopefully we can sneak a peak at E3 this year.
I want it to move forward as well, but the people in charge of Black Tusk said they wanted to show that Black Tusk was actually competent enough in making an actual Gears of War game before changing things. They want to prove themselves to fans before making drastic changes to story or gameplay or anything.
