Or you're just used to smelling like a shit covered dog.
You smoke, I know you are a massive hypocrite, but I do not see the point in being one about this, because cigarette smoke smells like shit.

What is going on in this video?
The US airdropped a bunch of shit in Syria to help them fight ISIS. In the video, ISIS seems to have gotten one of the airdropped crates.

It must suck only having one foot left, and only having half of your hair.

That would kinda suck. I would not want to live forever, even if everything is perfect. Life would get dull, and there would be no way out because you had already died.

I am sorry but that frame rate looks incredibly unnatural and shitty. I prefer how Halo 2 and 3 originally were.
Then don't get it.

This. That was actually a fantastic movie, as long as you do not mind reading subtitles and having the camera view be what the characters see.
It always boggled my mind how many people struggle with subtitles.
Same. I watch a lot of anime so it is no issue for me.

Wow, that is awesome. I want to see more games with huge scales and battles.

I have always had an idea of a game I wanted to play that was set in the Halo universe, it would be in a massive canyon, like, bigger than you had ever seen in a Halo game, miles wide. Instead of there being a clear objective or goal, it would be just a huge lobby that could support thousands of players and people could drop in and out of the game, and there would be bases sticking out of the canyon walls and interior corridors and other map sections, the map would be huge. The canyon could lead out to an even larger open field with hills and rock formations, possibly a small forested area. There would be a scarab or two, Scorpions, Pelicans, Phantoms, Warthogs, Spectres, Choppers, Ghosts, and other vehicles all over the map. I think a never ending battle with all of this stuff available and enough players to always be manning them would be insanely fun.

Serious / Re: Car folks: first car purchase advise
« on: October 21, 2014, 11:25:33 AM »
Right now I'm thinking about a Ford Focus SE.
Yes, do it. I bought a Ford Focus SE when I joined the military and that is an amazing car. I got screwed on the loan though, so make sure you read everything and do not sign shit without asking questions first. They are going to try and sell you insurance on top of the insurance you will already have with an insurance company, rip that shit up. Even if you say no to it, they will try to slip in the insurance paperwork while you are distracted with signing stuff. They added on $3,000 to the total loan because of that insurance shit. It was my first time buying a car and I was by myself. I helped a few friends when they went to buy their cars after my experience and saved them money.

Watch everything they do, do not allow them to go talk to another employee without you if it is regarding your purchase. If they ask you to test drive it, decline. That is a ploy to make you fall in love with the feel of the car immediately, tell them you want to discuss the price first. If you are able to get a decent price with a decent interest rate on your loan, then make sure you get that in writing and have it signed by the manager.

When I was in the military and found out that transgender people were unable to serve
I don't want to come off the wrong way but...how did you make it that far without knowing that?
I figured out that the term existed during my senior year of high school and was depressed long before that. I had planned on joining the Air Force for quite a while, but I had figured the removal of DADT would have covered trans* individuals as well, I never did much research on it. I joined in November of 2011, two months after that act was repealed. I was extremely reserved during the time I was in school, I never told my parents about anything or sought help from anyone. I then decided to do more research on transitioning in the military after I had gone through all of the training and settled into my job. It is then that I learned of the ban on service by trans* individuals, so I then decided to just wait and see how my job went. In January of 2013 I could not take it anymore and I called my mother and said that I needed to talk to her about something. I could not do it over the phone and sent her an e-mail coming out to her, and my sister read it as well. After she was accepting of it and wanted to learn more about it and said I was welcome to come back and live with them, I was no longer stressed about being alone. That year was very stressful though because I was physically alone still, was depressed, was going through the process of being discharged during the later months, and had people at work threatening my life when they found out why I was leaving.

Simply put - what are your thoughts on suicide?
It is an available option for those who feel uncomfortable in society or in their lives. Humans can be unforgiving and cruel, and some wish to no longer deal with that.

Quote
Is it a cowards way out?
Absolutely not. Some people are driven to the verge of suicide by other humans, and those people who do that to someone are the cowards. People who contemplate it feel scared, they are uncomfortable, most of the time they are alone.

Quote
Do you know anyone who has thought of/actually attempted the act?
Myself, my mother, my sister. My sister drank a lot of alcohol one night and drove to work, she only made it about half way and parked her car in a parking lot then walked across the street to the median and laid down. EMTs found her and called me to come pick her up, and when I did she kept asking me to take her to work and said she was going to get in her car and go kill herself. She is currently in a rehab center for being an alcoholic so I am hoping things get better for her.

My mother was previously an alcoholic and was discharged from the Air Force because of that and other things. She had harmed herself at one point, and the military takes that stuff seriously and she was taken to a mental hospital for 72 hours, and had people check on her at different times throughout the day for a few weeks after. She had thought about killing herself when getting discharged but never went through with it.

When I was in the military and found out that transgender people were unable to serve, I felt trapped. I had been harming myself but nobody around me knew about it, and I had multiple knives and guns, all of which my friend who lived on base took to his house because he knew what I was going through and knew I did not want to be alive at that moment. Things have gotten better for me since leaving though, well, at least the second half of this year.

Do you feel like enough emphasis is aimed at teenagers these days?
Likely not. Especially when you have kids in school who tell others to kill themselves, and people online telling other humans to kill themselves. Sometimes it is in a joking manner, and that should be made apparent, but when somebody is really struggling with something, you should not tell someone to do that, even if it is over the internet.
