The Flood / Re: Reasons why the Empire actually isn't that bad« on: November 30, 2014, 12:56:24 PM »
I always loved the Empire. The original trilogy tried to show it as some evil overreaching force. They protected worlds, had a functional galactic government, and stimulated the economy as you stated. It gave people careers, because in the Star Wars universe there are still trillions of people of varying species who need to have currency in order to live their lives.

The Flood / Re: Regarding Halo canon« on: November 30, 2014, 12:41:19 PM »But Star Wars EU is canon. Disney cannot delcare all of Star Wars EU to be non-canon. There are obviously quite a few things that are not because the universe is so expansive. But this all comes down to the fact that Disney can suck a dick and what they say does not matter.Except it's not retarded. As far as I'm aware, neither 343 nor Bungie has declared all of those things non-canon.I never said anything about Bungie or 343, I was going by retard logic used by some of the people here. 2863

The Flood / Re: Regarding Halo canon« on: November 30, 2014, 12:37:53 PM »didn't Disney or something say the EU wasn't canon now?It does not matter what the said. They do not give a shit about Star Wars lore, they only care about money. They cannot erase everything that is canon, that is nonsensical to even acknowledge them attempting to do so. They lost all legitimacy with the series with that act, and in doing so, made all future movies, '08 TCW, and Star Wars Rebels all non-canon. 2867

The Flood / Re: Why is Noelle in so much denial?« on: November 30, 2014, 12:29:21 PM »TCW, Rebels, and future movies go into that "Legends" category, because it is an alternate timeline, because it would contradict the EU stuff. Just like how the new Star Trek movies are on a separate timeline. It's not up to the audience to decide what is canon and what isn't. If that were the case I'd consider the Metroid Prime series canon.Of course it is not, but Disney cannot erase thirty years of established canon. 2871
The Flood / Re: Regarding Halo canon« on: November 30, 2014, 12:26:15 PM »Nope, what they say does not matter. But they did.Except, Disney wiped the slate clean, 343 have just been throwing out the bits they don't like. You cannot "wipe the slate clean". They cannot just erase thirty years of established canon, it does not work that way. 2872

It contradicted too many things, I really do not care what Disney or Lucas say, neither of them care about the actual lore of the series, they care about money.2003 Clone Wars, it is canon, the 2008 one is not.Sadly the 2008 version is still canon, thank god that the 2003 version is still canon. |
