TTK was bad since it made any content in vanilla and the first two expansions completely redundant. It slowly but gradually got better with each following content update.
I'd say it wasn't until Age of Triumph that the game actually got pretty fucking good.

well I like destiny
I totally dig the lore, and it's a decent shooter.
It's the raw grind, flat characters, and lack of plot woven out of that lore that disappoints me.
I'm actually pretty optimistic for the narrative. seems like they've addressed most of those issues, just going off the playable mission in the beta. my biggest gripe was the complete lack of content in vanilla, and is the only thing that concerns me right now for D2.

well it's a lot better than vanilla destiny, you can really tell how they've tried to improve the narrative. even with all its dlc, i never really felt immersed in any of the first games story missions. looks like they're pushing pretty hard to turn it into an esport too. just hope it has enough content at launch to keep it alive for more than a week.
