I only play Mercy when I'm with a group. Playing Mercy with randoms is a nightmare. Nobody protects you when you're healing/damage buffing them and when you glide to someone to heal them, they end up walking into a 1v4 or more and you both die.
I enjoy the mayhem and most randoms have been pretty competent so far Spoiler plus I don't have a group ;-;

Everything else is great, though I wouldn't bother with MH4U since Generations will be released soon.

I don't get why I should skip MH4U in favour of a newer game, but then again, I don't know how that franchise is story-wise. Reason tells me to get the games that came before it though.
MH4U is the same as 4, but with additional content. No reason to get both. These games demand a lot of invested time, so it'll be a long while before you're even ready to move onto MHG if you start with 4U. MH4 kept me occupied for well over a year with 1000+ hours, though that's mostly thanks to online coop. There's no continuity with the series and the online community will drop quite significantly. I suppose it's up to you, but I see no reason to play 4U with Generations so close to release.

I like the idea. There's a more weapon choice this time round, rather than just a straight sword. Durability promotes variety so you don't just use the same weapon throughout the game.
