He's real lucky that his ban is only temporary, if it were up to me, his ass would be deleted from the site with his IP banned.
"What began as a simple 4 day ban from Sep7agon turned into a permanent backlist without prior notice or warning."

Reading is fun.

I didn't catch that. Super busy.

That's good news then. I won't have to deal with his negativity anymore. All he does is bash me for not liking his precious Xbone.

Good thing it was just a nightmare then.

My nightmares are pretty disturbing. It's so bad that I recall them as actual memories that happened in reality because they blend in with life to easily.

I'm trying to forget them.
I don't remember a lot of dreams.

Consider that to be a good thing.

Night.

I may get on here before I leave. Night everyone.

Well, it may have not told me anything, but it did log it as a critical error.

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

Fuck. I hate having history like this.

Okay, so on Windows 7, if say a power outage happens and after the outage I turn my computer back on, I get the Windows error recovery screen stating that it did not shut down normally and all I have to do is highlight and choose Start Windows normally.

But tonight (just 10 minutes ago)  I was trying to unplug my phone charger, and my finger slipped on the switch of my power strip, turning everything off, including my computer.

I pretty much got mad knowing how fucked I am for doing that.

I waited a little bit, and then turned the switch back on. Oddly enough my keyboard lit up (it's a keyboard with backlights, makes it easy to type a night) but my computer was still off.

So I turned it on, and to my surprise, it just booted to Windows. Took a little be longer than how it usually is (boots up very fast when I turn it on normally after shutting it down normally) but still. No Windows Error Recovery Screen, nothing.

Is it suppose to do that? I'm kinda worried. Well I'm more worried about my hardware right now but still. Is this right? Windows 8.1 didn't even give me a prompt saying "your computer shut down unexpectedly." like how Windows 7 would after it boot up.

Should I be worried? I know I'm good with software and can usually fix things just fine. I probably shouldn't worry, but I thought I'd ask.
I think it only will pop up if you habitually turn off the system wrong. I may be wrong though because I don't use Windows 8 on any of my computers.

Umm. I did habitually turn off the system wrong. If anything what I simulated was a power outage, except I caused it with a slip of the finger on my power strip, which of course is designed to protect my equipment.

Damn I'm gonna have to have XBL set the date and time on my Xbox again.

You can upgrade parts later, but you can't easily upgrade a CPU. If he has a low budget right now then he should drop most of it on a proper CPU, Motherboard and PSU. The graphics card, ram and so forth can be upgraded afterwards. It all depends on those three elements on having a successful build.

Eh. Upgrading a CPU isn't that hard. It can just be tedious. That's why we are getting a Motherboard compatible with 4th generation Intel chipsets.

Edit: So that when the need arises we can upgrade within the family line of Intel.

Good luck with unsodering and sodering. That shit sounds like a pain in the ass.

I have no idea how it was easy for my brother to soder back the power supply inside my original Xbox.

DOS is like Terminal or CMD depending on what OS you are using at the moment.

Yeah. Forgot about that.

You got a good set of skills then. I fucked with Windows a lot when I was a kid. Thanks to that, I have no issues with repairing or reinstalling Windows.

Hell, I went even further and messed with BIOS settings as well. Let's just say on older computers, it's not a smart thing to do if you have no idea what you're doing. Trial and error is how I learned.
Same here. I knew what BIOS was but I hated the interface so I only messed with Boot Priority and that's it. Anything else wouldn't have helped performance wise on the old PCs I had.

The Gigabyte motherboards have a really nice one. Even has a mouse too. It's awesome, compared to my old computer from 2005 that's sitting in the closet right now. That baby runs on Linux though now. Ubuntu to be exact.
I'm mostly talking about the computers I had when I was a kid. Most of them were built for Windows 98 but ran XP Pro in the '00s. They didn't have a nice GUI for Bios. Most of them were old school Blue and White GUI BIOS with only keyboard input.

Yeah that's what my old stock computer from 2005 has.

DOS is what it's called I believe.
DOS is command line based, completely different.

Oh. Nevermind then.

Yeah, I also need to make sure a voltage shortage doesn't happen either.

A 600W PSU is like $65.

Well I doubt my power supply will crap out, but if it does, that's not a bad price tag for a replacement.

That's good. I suck at hardware btw. Software is more of my specialty.
I screwed over my fair share of computers that I had to learn them in and out. I can maintain my OS fairly well and can troubleshoot hardware issues. We had 4 computers when I was a kid for LAN games and it was great but eventually they started to die so I had to troubleshoot the issues myself and use parts from each system to make one or two working systems.

Let's hope that's compatible with a Gigabyte motherboard, because that's what's on my machine.
If it's a PCI Express 2.0 you will be fine.

Edit: I was mistaken. It will also work on PCIE 2.0

Nice.

I had mine prebuit from Frys because going to school full time at the time prevented me to have extra time to build my own. However, nothing is stopping me from easily modifying since it's completely custom, just pre-built by iBuyPower instead.

My friend went with IBuyPower. I was going to but I have experience working with computer parts so I ended up just building mine.

That's good. I suck at hardware btw. Software is more of my specialty.

Can you get me a mail ordered bride?
From Amsterdam? You'd probably be better off looking for those in and around India.
Eh, I don't want to sound racist, but ehh....
Well, I can look for one here, but don't expect much. The quality of life is pretty good here and most people aren't too fond of the US, so you might have some issues finding someone who'd move over there.
I am not that overtly fond of the U.S. either.

I'm sorry! I can't hear you over mah freedom!

Can you get me a mail ordered bride?

I could imagine how that business would exist. Kidnapping a bunch of women and then just selling them to guys to make a profit.

It would be like Amazon in a warehouse except it's actual people in a wedding dress and not merchandise

Come to think of it that kind of shit would be illegal and should be.

You've got to go to the weed cafes, visit Ann Frank's house, visit the sex museums, visit the red light districts.
Done all of those except for the sex museums.

The fuck is it with people and sex museums anyway?
Could be interesting.

Don't see how. Sounds like it's as dull as porn.
Sex is an interesting topic. A museum on sex through the ages and whatnot could be pretty interesting too.

Sounds overrated.

Hmmm. And i7 would be a bit better. That's what I'm running on.

I should really consider upgrading my graphics card soon though.

I have an Nvidia 550ti.

Grab a 970. They are great according to the reviews. Kinda wish I waited but hell, there is no 970 with a Titan style cooler at the moment so I'm also glad I didn't.

Let's hope that's compatible with a Gigabyte motherboard, because that's what's on my machine.

The CPU isn't good for gaming; you should go for a quad core, at least.

I second this, Intel Quad Core though.

Trust me, I have one on my machine, it does a really good job.

I have a machine already. I could have picked my parts better but hell, it was my first PC I built.
