He really isn't wrong when he says Bungie is a shit developer. They do have a shit rack record when it comes to games.
Halo 2 is broken and unfinished so I wouldn't consider that a great game.
Unlike Halo 2 Bungie did have time to put focus in Halo 3 which they didn't at all. The first half of that game has no story at all and the levels are random as fuck. They're so random that you have to beat them first to know what you just did and you can remove them without the story changing.
For Reach it is their last Halo game so you would think they would put everything they can into it, but they didn't. They put hardly any passion at all into it which resulted in it being shit and it was just a tech demo for Destiny.
For Destiny even though it was a game they have been working on before ODST that still ended up being shit.
The only reason why Halo 3 hardly has a story was because originally Halo 2 and 3 were suppose to be one game. And the PC port of Halo 2 fixes most of the issues. If you actually look carefully, Halo 3 had a lot of cut content that was suppose to be in the game. The missions were actually longer originally, but Microsoft was all like "HURRY YO ASS UP BUNGIE!" ODST was a side project, you can't expect the game to 100% be perfect and polished when it's done by a much smaller team. Reach, I agree with you. It's a good game as far as standalone goes in some aspects, but as a Halo game, it fails. Hell, I'd like to say it's made with the same engine that Destiny is made with. However, you can't go wrong with the first game. That actually has a FUCK ton of problems, and yet it won game of the year for it's incredible story.
