Why was the level even called "The Maw"?
Beats me. I didn't create or design this game. Even though I know way too much about how every single cut scene works and how every practical effect and script was done in the game.
But what I don't know is why Staten decided that the last level should be called The Maw.
There are no maws in the game...unless it was some kind of metaphor to being at Halo's maw...or something.
I don't know. All I know is that this the only Halo game that won game of the fucking year.
If 343 makes a Halo game that wins game of the year, I may consider playing it.

I don't know why, I always though of "The Maw" as a placeholder for graveyard for The Pillar of Autumn. A graveyard full of insanity. What was once was but is now no longer. I don't know. Why though?
Because I've come to the conclusion after studying human history for a long time now, we have become less intelligent as a species. Technology is at fault for most of it, but part of our illiteracy as everything to do with the jargon we use online, and when people start saying that in real life, it's over. People even say acronyms like YOLO and SWAG as replacements for "That's neat" or "Cool" without even knowing the meaning. Hell, it's been happening with words like "Gay" and "Retard" without people knowing the meaning. People are becoming more and more unwise as time goes on. I fee as if the core intelligence of the human condition is declining. There is nothing I can do to stop that, reproducing won't even fix it. As time goes on we're going to be reaching to the point where the future of our children's children and so on live in complete stupidity. We're not very far from the movie Idiocracy now, and it's sad that this is the direction that humanity is heading towards.
