You're more autistic than I thought if you think that game will ever see the light of day. Even if the indie devs manage to pull something out of the gaping hole that is their ass, Microsoft will cease and desist that shit into the ground so fast.

I'm actually working on it, and we're working with more than our asses, thanks.

Do you guys need anymore people? I can use the experience. I haven't worked with a team in awhile.

Instead of getting the game because you either found it fun or you like the story of the game you want to get it just because of armor dress up. That's just retarded. To make it even more retarded you hardly ever see your own armor in the game.

Machinima.

First off: not every game is made in Unity, and not every editor and engine is like Unity.
Second: do you seriously think the botched customization is because AAA devs couldn't figure out how to child an object?  You can't assume you know exactly what issues the dev team was facing when they made that decision.
Third: why are useless cosmetics the deal-breaker for a video game, let alone a console purchase?

I can understand that Halo is not made with Unity (not yet at least, there is an indie team that's doing a project involving Halo and Unity, and it's gonna be a free game too.)

Clearly you haven't read the EULA. You can make a Halo game so long as it is free. If they were to turn around and make a profit with it, then MS would take them to court.

This is the same reason why Custom Edition is unsupported by Microsoft.

I don't even know how to mute someone lol

It's easy. Go to your profile and look for your buddies/ignore list. Click on that. Go to the ignore list tab. Enter or copy/paste a name into the box, hit submit, and boom. Person is muted.

Edit: http://sep7agon.net/index.php?action=profile;area=theme;u=916

Click on this link and check "Use sidebar menus instead of dropdown menus when possible."

That will make it much easier to navigate then the drop down menus. At least that's how I prefer it.

I'm just gonna learn to ignore everybody.

Yep. Running Sep7agon on hard mode here. Why I am doing this?

Let's just say I'm tired of being considered a pussy. I'll read your replies yes, but I know I have a choice weather or not I want to respond to them. I may respond to some of you, I may spaz out again, or I may just do what Demonic always told me to do.

Not give a fuck.

Let's see what happens.

Spoiler
I'm bored and I'm being an attention whore. Deal with it.

Something else that bugs is me is not being able to see our emblems on the scoreboard during matches. What's the point of having an emblem if you can't even see it?

That's horrible.

I can understand that Halo is not made with Unity (not yet at least, there is an indie team that's doing a project involving Halo and Unity, and it's gonna be a free game too.)

That is not what I was aiming at with this thread. I know it's not that simple. But the thing is, 343 itself has this editor in Halo 4.

If they can incorporate and rewrite that with the MCC for Halo 3 and 4 and release another update for the game, that can work. It will take time, but I know it's not impossible. However, 343 isn't going to do that. They're done with the MCC I believe. So it is what it is.

Honestly, it would have been smarter to port the games with it's menus included, instead of throwing it under one big umbrella and having it load into different engines under the same .xex file.

You know how Halo Anniversary lauched Halo Reach.xex when you clicked multiplayer? Something like that would have been useful for all 4 games. There's the main MCC menu, pic a game. Boom. Halo 3 menu. Loaded. Halo CEA menu. Loaded. Halo 4 menu. Loaded.  Halo 2A menu. Loaded. All options included and re tweaked even if need be.

Is it feasible? If they've done it before, they can do it again, they just need to rewrite the API. That's what I had to do to half of my shit when porting to Unity 5, although again, not the same thing. But that's not the direction it went either way.

Porting itself is already a major headache, but if they've made it this far and with a little bit more of hard work, I'm sure having a armor editor in the main menu system of the MCC for 3 and 4 can still be possible. They just need to dive into the existing slots and add a few new variables, question is, will it work?

Maybe they have tested it before and it couldn't run the game. We will never know. It's never explained.

Also, you might see it as a useless cosmetic, but I actually like having that useless cosmetic. It's included in the original package that you paid x amount of money for. It's a feature. Maybe not the most important feature, but it's a feature.

Why do we have hats in TF2? I say it's fucking useless, and yet people go apeshit over them. People love the features that they love.

And armor in Halo is like my hats in TF2.

Really? Thats not a thing?
That's what happens when you rush an unfinished game out the door.
Yep, I mean okay, it doesn't really take away the gameplay, but I loved customization.

I remember the first time I made a thread about this, the whole community here gave me massive shit over it saying "It was designed that way so faggots like you wouldn't get the game."

In fact....

Flaming heads were just easy targets for headshots

Eh. I sucked at the game's multiplayer anyway, so I didn't care how easy of a target it made me.

I will buy the game with an Xbox One, so I can look like this again.

http://halo.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=122886877

Btw, I know how to parent objects in an engine. It's really not that hard.

Game dev 101
Create a particle system and have it emmit around 50 to 100 orbs, 1000 orbs if your PC can handle that much. Replace the orbs with a transparent texture, in this case, flames with a transparent background. Assign each texture according. You can get premade pack now or can make your own. You will also have the option to modify the colors of the particle effect to have different shades. Next, move the particle effect to the desired gameobject. Once in the desired spot of the gameobject, in this case the Halo 3 player model with E.O.B torso, parent the object by dragging it under "model" > "head," but be sure it's not in the way of the first person camera for the player. In this case, Bungie wasn't very careful with it, and the flames pop up sometimes in first person. And the reason why the flames never disappear when in cameo is because there was no if statement for written for it. This was fixed in Halo: Reach. The only if statement is "if player dies, destroy particle effect". or "if death, destroy gameobject." Now this is how it would be if Halo 3 was made in Unity with javascript, but I think Halo 3 is a little bit more advanced then that. I have screenshots of some of Halo 3's code if you want to see it. Basically it's code on what enemies will spawn under each difficulty set.

Reminds me of when I was 14 and tried to get the world record on Floodgate. Naturally, it didn't happen, and I lost interest in Speedruns. When you think about it, there's not really a great deal of fun to be had from doing it.

Not to mention there is a very easy shortcut that can get Floodgate done quick.
