It may not be hard for you, but you're failing to account for the fact that not everybody is you. Some people are opinionated, and angry. I haven't seen you express too many controversial opinions before--hell, I don't recall seeing you having an argument with anybody.
Not saying you have to, but this is why you haven't really ever gotten in trouble before. Because you don't... really... post anything. You probably actively avoid engaging in heated discussions about your convictions/passions (if you have any at all), and though that may be easy for someone who lacks such convictions, for those of us who do, it's a little bit easier to have a run-in with the mods.
And sure--a lot of it has to do with our own lack of self-control at times, but really, it's just an irritating thing to say. "It's not that hard". I don't know--maybe if you had opinions you felt like were worth losing your privileges over, you'd understand.
I never thought I'd actually say this, but Verbatim is right. When you're active as hell and you're someone that posts a lot of shit, eventually with one or more posts, you're likely to get banned over something stupid. I already hated the Mythic's for telling me otherwise, and I actually laughed my ass of when Spawn got banned after kissing so much ass and lost his Mythic for months. Spoiler Fuck Spawn. I hope that tool never makes an account here.

There was a time though, when evilcam banned me four times in sixty seconds.
It was impressive.
The last time I was on Bungie.old, I got out of a 1 year ban and a newfag mod banned me because I responded to someone in a complement. He was really new, like.... he hated old members.

If Horizon actually supported the Xbox One (I'm assuming they don't yet) I'd convert or create a Sep7agon theme for the Xbox One. That and I think Microsoft has made it hard for modding to be possible on that system apparently. If the architecture is the same however, you could try plugging your flashdrive with these themes into an Xbox One to see if it would work. One thing that I learned a little while ago, courtesy of a certain psychologist, is that when you catch someone telling a lie it's not always the best option to call out the lie. What that usually leads to is the situation described, doubling down and further and further levels of deceit until the whole thing comes crashing down.
If someone lies about something inconsequential, then generally you should let it slide. Everyone lies, every single day. There is no exception because deception is a core part of humanity, asserting otherwise is a lie and thus proves itself wrong. People lie to spare feelings, to avoid embarrassment or out of politeness. This is all fine. When people lie about things that truly matter, that's when it becomes more serious and the added emotions join into the party.
If someone lies about having an affair, causing a car crash or whatever then it is acceptable to lynch them for it.
What I would recommend is picking your battles with it, liecatching is good and all but it's not always worth it no matter how repulsive lying is to you.
People who are caught lying are either unskilled or unlucky, possibly malicious too but again it's context dependant. I try not to judge, but I can't say I view lying for personal gain too fondly even in the best of circumstances.
It is very very hard for me to lie. If anything I'd need someone to lie for me if needed.

I suppose I'd be willing to offer that too, but if no one's interested then I guess it doesn't matter. lol
What I could do is create a tutorial on how to do it, and offer the example theme in the tutorial if people just want that. What there really needs to be is a custom theme builder for the Xbox One and PS4. Almost no one gives a shit about last gen anymore.
