CEA looks pretty great for a remaster from 2011..
From a distance, everything looks great, sure. Up close, however, there's something I can't quite put my finger on, that looks a bit out of place. Some of the Character Models in particular (I think they were just ripped from Reach) also look a bit too bulky, and there are parts of the scenery which don't match the original, making for a few invisible walls on the terrain, here and there.
At a distance, there are a few areas that would certainly make good Computer backgrounds, but CMT's mods for Halo CE look a lot better.
That's because the game is still using the original collision system of the classic engine. if you play it in classic mode it will make sense.

Guess work. Also, it came out redish. I was trying to give some of them light brown hair, but it wouldn't cooperate with the photo. The ones that I'm sure had black hair, I left untouched, because adding black doesn't change anything in a black and white photo. This is as close as I could have restored it to what it might have been like back then, if you think you can do better, by all means, save the original photo and try it yourself.

Note: This is purely experimental. Photoshop people, if you have Photoshop, see if you can find any Sepia or Black and white photos to colorize, if you don't know how to colorize a photo, you can let me do it for you and I'll do my best and post it here. I won't be doing any now but I'll be back in the day to do some if need be. Reason for this thread? I'm bored and all the other threads bore me. Here is a before and after of a historic photo I not only colorized but restored to the best of my ability, this took me 5 hours to do total: I had to use separate layers for all the colors, the kids, the school, the sky, etc. Most of the colors are guess work as to what that area looked like in 1927 if you were to see it with your own 2 eyes. I don't know what color the kids clothes or hair really were because I don't have any idea who they are or if there are any surviving great grandchildren of them. It's a mystery, if there is one thing I know they are all long dead by now. But yeah, post some of your work of colorized or restored work if any. If you have requests for any please let me know in great detail what you would want out of it. I'll try to get to you as fast as humanly possible. If you want me to colorize a photo, knowing the colors of something will make it easier if you tell me, otherwise it's guess work for the most part. Let's see how this thread goes.

Are you playing CE using the original game? You'd probably have a better experience on the MCC (if you have an Xbone). 60fps+1080p+Anniversary retexturing.
That or Halo PC. The retexturing is kind of a mess with collision, but it's stable at least. Then yet again I have the 360 version of Halo Anniversary, maybe it's improved on the Xbone.
