I thin the real purpose of this thread is to salute our Lord and Savior 'Oldfag Sparkles' to become unbanned in the coming months. Yes, it has almost been 2 years since it happened.
Bloody hell... has it really?

Yet when I say sep7afags I get banned for two months

I think that's more to do with fags than the portmonteau itself.

Probably having my brother's dog jump on me and then poke me in the face with his nose.

Or even better, when he fucking sneezes in my face to wake me up. Damn dawg.

No more Freddy's Ribs though...
Easily the worst part about S2 ;_;

I hope Frank uses a predator drone on Tusk for that shit <_<
Real talk.
Freddy was a fucking bro.
Damn straight.

I didn't even care that his line of work is one of the least appealing things possible for me (>tfw fgt veggie) and even the Slow-Bleed story didn't impact on how boss tier freddy was. Best character in the show, barring Frank himself.

9/10

simple
form-fitting
good rotations

i still think just having one solid unchanging avatar is best though

I do agree, I just don't want to shelve the others in preference of one or the other <.<

The Flood / Re: why do you have your avatar
« on: February 18, 2015, 07:35:47 AM »
Hmm

Well I've got a few on rotation but most of them are variations on the same picture.

Eye of Osiris - I lifted this from Bnet and brought it with me because I'm quite fond of it's distinctive look. It's also the avatar I've had on there for a couple of years now so it would be a shame to leave it behind.

Kaiki's 'Done' face - The expression on his face is too perfect to pass up, since it can be applied to so very many things that I encounter on here. It makes a change from his usual completely dour and miserable expressions too.

Techpriests (In general) - My favourite faction in WH40K is the Adeptus Mechanicus, the techpriests and their distaste for meatbags appeal to me <.<

DIDpriest - This covers the Angry, Sad, Neutral and Happy expressions. Mostly because a while ago DAS suggested that having them on rotation would make it look like the techpriest has DID lol.

Technopriest - I believe it was Ryle who made this gif in his [Intensifies] thread a while ago, I'm very fond of it >.>

Smipriest - The techpriest that isn't based off the general model, I commissioned Smi to draw this for me a while ago and I've had it in my avatar selections ever since, It's a wonderful drawing e.e

So after changing my display name and creating this thread. do you see the people that give me the most shit here? If these people didn't do anything I would have been sane, hell if Blazed never made that thread none of this would have ever happened.
If it wasn't blazed's thread, it would have been another. The issue is that childishness is affecting you in this way, not that childishness exists. Online, there will always be people who insult you and wind you up for fun. Giving them what they want is losing, if you want to win then ignore it.

Do anyone here understand my concern at all? Anyone? And no. I don't have that internet addiction bullshit. Otherwise I'd beat Noelle in activity on the forums.
Yes, but as I have said a few times you are approaching this in just about the worst possible way. And you don't have internet addiction as diagnosed by an alt, it's a joke. People normally laugh at them, or dismiss them, or fire shots back in good humour.
Quote
And I'm not fast enough to reply to everyone's post, as I'm writing this a new post is made and sometimes the thread gets locked before I even have the chance to say anything and actually fucking post it.

Another unfortunate truth of forums <.<

If no one can understand anything from my fucking perspective with what I'm trying to do here with the sole reason of creating this thread, then clearly nothing will ever get you to actually understand and have you think rationally for once.

Oh it's understandable, but I refer you to my point above.

Decimator Omega, now known as Explosion Imminent, publicly known as Armen, I think we need to address your issues.  You clearly have a problem with people on forums, and it stretches beyond your autism (I apologize for your condition by the way, it is an extremely unfortunate thing to happen to a bright young man such as yourself.)  I think you may have a disorder known as Internet Addiction Disorder.

Quote
Internet addiction disorder (IAD), now more commonly called problematic Internet use (PIU)[1] or compulsive Internet use (CIU).[2] Other overlapping terms include Internet overuse, problematic computer use or pathological computer use – and even iDisorder.[3] These terms avoid the word addiction and are not limited to any single cause, but only reflect a general statement about excessive computer use that interferes with daily life.[4]

IAD was originally proposed as a disorder in a satirical hoax by Ivan Goldberg, M.D., in 1995,[5] though some later researchers have taken his essay seriously. He took pathological gambling as diagnosed by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) as his model for the description of IAD.[6] IAD receives coverage in the press, and possible future classification as a psychological disorder continues to be debated and researched in the psychiatric community.[7] A systematic review of PIU identified a lack of standardization of the conceptualization of PIU as a major impediment to advancing this area of study.[8]

Other habits such as reading, playing computer games, or watching very large numbers of Internet videos or movies are all troubling only to the extent that these activities interfere with normal life. IAD is often divided into subtypes by activity, such as excessive, overwhelming, or inappropriate Internet pornography use, gaming, online social networking, blogging, email,[9] or Internet shopping (shopping addiction).[10] Opponents note that compulsive behaviors may not themselves be addictive.[11]

Internet addiction is a subset of a broader "technology addiction". Obsession with technology started with radio in the 1930s and with television in the 1960s, but has recently exploded in importance during the current digital age.[3] A study published in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking (2014) suggests that prevalence of Internet addiction varies considerably between countries and is inversely related to quality of life. [12]

I think you may need to cease your internet activity, or at the very least start a consistent process of slowly weaning yourself away from your computer.  I know a good therapist that can help you, he even allows Skype conferences if you cannot make it to his office.

Please, Decimator Omega, now known as Explosion Imminent, I want to help you.  But you have to push yourself as well, my friend and I cannot do this alone.  We need you to commit with us.  Please PM me for information.

God speed.
I approve of this alt

Jokes aside, the video is serious. I'm not on their side or yours, I'm here to keep the peace <.<
And at the same time, to try and advise you that acting in this manner is simply going to make matters worse.

Deci, forgive me if I'm mistaken but did you not create a true mute script for Septagon?

If you did, why haven't you muted those who are needling you rather than giving them the response they desire?

I dunno.

However, if I mute anyone that says Explosion Imminent, I'm going to have more people in my ignore list than in my buddy list, and that isn't fun.

Hope you understand dilemma here.
Of course, so then the other option is to let it wash over you.

If you let people affect you in this way, then they will be able to press your buttons whenever they feel like having a laugh. If you either go with the joke, ignore it or something along those lines it goes away pretty quickly.

The best example I can think of is Kinder and the fat jokes.

He's not even fat, but his handling of the situations was appalling and he continuously disregarded all advice over the matter. And now kinder fat jokes are so embedded in the flood psyche that it would take surgery to remove it and even then it would be futile. The streisand effect is one of the simplest and most important things people should learn about online <.<

From what I remember Rose used proxies/VPNs for each alt that was banned here, if Rose had a main I think it was probably just *Rose* or Crimson or whichever name came first <.<
Are there many other members that use those?

A few I'm sure, mostly it's not a problem. I don't see any accounts using Tor being approved again though, after the last one <.<

I came in here expecting something horrific, I was not disappointed.

OP, be a good older brother and show him a gallery of the tippiest fedora maymay abominations on the internet and ask him if that's who he wants to be when he is older.

If that doesn't put the fear of allah into him, you can always show him stage two of the infection. Bronies.

Try defragging the hard drive as well.

I've never done that before.

For applied subjects like game design, hairdressing and bricklaying etc.
In the US, that's called Technical School, and it surprises me that they have it for bricklaying.

A lot of things like that are taught by Apprenticeship here, sort of an old way of doing things, but functional, nonetheless.
Well it's more construction in general but yeah, it was a little surprising <.<

Also, what's your definition of public school?

That's a weird one really, Public Schools in the UK are the private ones which cost extortionate amounts of money to go to and are basically the breeding grounds for the next generation of politicians.

State funded schools are the public ones (Free to attend) but they don't have a proper name <.<
