I'd rather talk about cold fusion. Other nuclear reactor types have been proven unstable due to human errors, or unpredictable circumstances. However, cold fusion is still small, and mostly theoretical.
Cold fusion would be great, but you're right in saying it's only theoretical. I think fission gets a bad rap for the few high, profile disasters that have occurred, but the Fukushima incident is really an endorsement of the safety of nuclear power -- they used old reactors with out of date regulations, had some of the worst conditions applied to it (earthquake and tsunami), and still nobody died. With modern protocols and technology, nuclear is safer than ever.
Isn't it still spewing radioactive water into the ocean though? <.<

It's the unfortunate mirror effect of banning lolis regardless of their stated age. As it has been explained to me, legally speaking it's somewhat irrelevant if the character's age is stated to be 9 or 900 - it's to do with whether or not the image is depicting a child in a pornographic manner. If there is a drawing of a girl that looks like an adult but the stated age is 14 or w/e then that's not counted under the same rules/laws as the above. When it comes to real people though, of course it matters. That much goes without saying.

Watched 2 episodes of this show on Netflix. Thought it got pretty ridiculous by the end of the second episode. However watching that got my 11 year old brother really into the show. I'm dissapointed.
It's pretty far fetched but the first half made for decent enough popcorn entertainment. A bit like bayformers. After that... ugh. I was tolerating the second arc well enough but by the time they'd managed to mix in tentacles AND incest I was done.

This is where part of the problem lies. The liberal circle jerk that is Serious board causes many conservative opinions to get the "LOL" response and that's just not fair. Just because you disagree with an opinion doesn't mean its laughable.
I don't really think that's the case; meta is frequently expressing conservative opinions and not getting shot down, as I understand it Turkey is also conservative and he's not being hounded out by a rabid band of lefties.
Look also at the general views on things like Israel/Palestine, Feminism, SJWs, Islam and Racism/related issues and try and say that there is a left wing bias, because I'm really not seeing one.
I hear this from certain people quite often and it's really tiresome because it never comes with actual evidence of a circle jerk of liberals, so prove that wrong and link some if you would.

It's been overlooked for a while now, pretty much since serious started. When it is used properly, it's fine in my opinion. Someone states a laughable opinion - people laugh.
What I don't think ought to be allowed is the ones I suspect you are referring to, where an OP with a fair amount of original thought gets the reply of LOL and LOL and LOL etc.
So the shitposting in serious rule is a thing already, I suspect those posts can be cleaned up in the future. It's best to report them, then the mods will go over it and figure out if it's detracting/shitposting instead of a reasonable reply.
