Ugh, it's a real bloody shame when something like this happens because there is usually fuck all that can be done to prevent it. Family Annihilators don't stand out like sore thumbs that can be screened for and tagged, they tend to just do this shit out of the blue. Financial issues, family breakups and deep personal shame are the usual suspects. Trouble is, most families nowadays will go through financial issues and an awful lot tend to break up messily. For medical uses, I don't really have any problems. It's regulated and monitored that way, so that any risks are minimized and it can be beneficial to certain patients.
Decriminalisation I am all for, throwing people in jail for being addicted to something is the same as a frontal lobotomy in terms of how useless it is for tackling the real problem. And yes hurrhurr camnaturr for saying lobotomy in the context of this

I don't think recreational use of substances is a good idea, in terms of scale it's important to note that yes cannabis isn't as toxic as heroin or Krokodil. For a cannabis specific point, the reason I wouldn't be for widespread usage boils down to the way it can cause predisposed schizophrenics to become schizophrenics. People with the natural predisposition towards it vastly outnumber those who show symptoms of it, it's not some doomsday event should the whole population turn into stoners (Well it would but that's another story) the issue being that with mental healthcare services already at breaking point suddenly having a massive increase in the number of cases of schizophrenia triggered by legal drug usage would not be a good thing.
Most people, i.e those who are not predisposed should be able to use it with no problem. Those who are predisposed have the unfortunate luck to typically then go on and develop schizophrenia courtesy of the way that cannabis fucks with your dopamine levels (The desired effect - feeling good, comes in part from dopamine which is responsible for a lot of the positive symptoms in schizophrenia like hallucinations/paranoid delusions)

I swear to god you're always sleep deprived.
Pretty much. Hell even as a newborn I didn't sleep well (Obviously not firsthand recollection, this is what my parents say) so a quick checklist goes Spoiler Born and barely slept as a baby
3 years old - parents got a sleep therapist to make me go to bed/sleep, which sort of worked for a few years
6 - Same shit different age
6-10 -- I think I actually slept well at this point of my life, it's hard to remember though.
10-15 -- ayylmao my dear ol' mummy decided to play deafeningly loud music all night every night, so I only got sleep from 4am-7am ish when she passed out and I could turn the surround sound off ._.
15-now -- Insomnia from the after effects of the sleep deprivation described above, I've got sleeping tablets that sort of help but it's still an uphill struggle every night. The bags under my eyes have pretty much been a permanent fixture since I was old enough to look in a mirror, but on the whole it is getting better nowadays. It's just a bad night with little sleep tends to hit me pretty badly.
