Those who have it, is it good?
As much as I liked ORAS it was a bit disappointing that it was just Kalos on Holiday.
I'm having a good ol' time. Plot-wise, they took a lot of liberties to make this one a totally unique and compelling experience--it really stands out from the other games in a lot of ways, namely with what they replaced the gyms with. X&Y were cool and all, but they kinda felt a bit soulless and superficial to me (it was based on France, after all). This game brings it back with a lot of charming yet subtle elements. The game's humor is some of the best in the series--Team Skull bringing the most of it in. I've cracked up laughing at least twice, which is very rare. Ultra Beasts take a while to show up, but when they do, they're pretty awesome.
Gameplay-wise, it's Pokémon. The new critters range from "fucking awesome" to "fucking godawful," but even the worst of the shitters still have a degree of charm to them. Many attack moves and smaller gameplay details have been revamped for the competitive folk, but you probably don't care too much about that. Z-moves, while still dumb, are a lot less dumb than I thought they'd be. They executed it in a surprisingly tasteful way.
The game's packed with features, and I only scraped the surface here. There's something in it for just about everybody. My issues have been sparse and minor: the beginning of the game is slow as fuck, and takes a bit of patience to plow through. All the characters are so fucking happy and sweet, you could get diabetes pretty easily. Collecting Zygarde pieces is lame and stupid (but I think Zygarde itself is lame and stupid).
Overall would recommend, it's pretty dope. Not close to beating it yet, but I've sunk my teeth in pretty deep.
Sounds good, I'll probably pick it up fairly soon then. How is the difficulty though? XY/ORAS was mindnumbingly easy, I get why they wanted to make it less grindy but I don't think I ever got to a gym and went 'well fuck' during the battle. Maybe it's to do with knowing the games better than when I was younger but I think there was a lot of design choice that made it a piece of cake.

I wonder if CoD 4 remaster will be sold separately later on.
They would be fools not to, I imagine after they milk the christmas sales for every last dorrah then you'll see the benevolent activision 'listen to the fans' and release a standalone for it.

i'd unironically move to iceland
It's certainly a nice place, the only thing that's a bit of a hurdle to that is the language. It's a bit of a mess, like Jeb!, so trying to learn it would be a right pain in the arse. Then again they all speak perfect english anyway so you can blag it easily enough.

It's kinda why i've been juggling weapons a lot through the game.
It slows your levelling but makes you more well rounded for lategame.
You could always spam alchemy, then buy up all the ingredients everywhere and make them into more valuable potions for infinite wonga. Then you can spend freely on trainers.
I've had Skyrim since 2011 and I've never once got into Alchemy. Is it that good?
Yep, I don't do a playthrough without it. It's fun for me to pick out ingredients and learn recipes to make some 10/10 potions, even if I always forget to use them in combat. It's a good way to make easy money though, creep cluster + giants toe + wheat = 1k+ potion at baselevel alchemy And clearing out a dungeon with chaurus eggs in lets you make infinite invisibility potions which sell for around 400 ish a pop

Wow it's literally covered in ice
Near the end of the trip it kinda was, the pavements and roads had about an inch of melted snow welded to them. When we got there it was more like britain though, pissing with rain and cloudy 24/7.

t4r I've uploaded some pictures that I took in iceland, I'm not gonna do them all because >200 is way too much time for me to spend but hey ho. Hafnarfjordur
Some pictures from the town that we stayed in, pretty nice place but you can tell it's an active shipping port. The Golden Circle
We went on a guided tour of some of the best places to visit, waterfalls and geysirs etc. Took a whole lot of photos that day so here are some. Parliamentary fields This was the place that the original settlers turned up to discuss matters with one another, it was bloody cold and right out in the middle of nowhere so proper viking democracy tbh. The standing stone that they used for the meeting place The view was really something, just miles and miles of flat tundra at the foot of the mountain we were on. I think a glacier carved it's way through this place a long time ago but holy shit it's something to behold. Cooled magma i think, with a dusting of snow. First bit of ice i saw in iceland lol This was taken on the way up to the parliamentary fields Game of Thrones land I can't remember the name of the place because it was a bit... long and runic... but it's where they film a lot of shit for game of thrones. Icelandic flag Mount Yuuuuge Some twat with his phone taking a picture of the view Mount Tiufjethjaiher (Pronounced 10 feet higher) View from the road This place looked really nice, the wind was stronk though so the house came out a tad blurry at the edge Viking Horses Some pretty shit from the foot of the mountain Gullfjall (something like that, meant golden waterfall) Geysirheim We went to a volcanic area after the waterfall, if you've ever been to one you'll know the smell. wew. It looked very pretty though. I've gotta find a way to upload the waterfall video and the geysir one because it's something special but another day perhaps. And a few general pictures from the country and Reykjavik The first settler View from the hotel room Cold as shit A stretchyneckfloatydoggo, quite a rare sight Snow cabbage MJOLK FOR STRONK BABBY VIKING That's all for now but i might upload the rest another day or later or something Disclaimer: I may have made up some of the names of places because icelandic is absurdly hard to read

Does everyone look inbred seeing as how it's only comprised of about 400,000 people?
330,000 They don't but you can certainly tell icelanders from tourists, not just by the clothes/demeanour but they have some pretty distinctive appearance. It is a bit of a concern over there from what I remember, and partly why they take such enthusiasm in family trees/genealogy so they can avoid marrying relatives and the like.

How were the volcanoes?
Very pretty, but we didn't get close to any. I did however get a great video of a geysir going off so i'll try to add that to the thread (gonna be tomorrow now)

I wouldn't say so, I'd say it's more about the taste than for caffeine. I'm sure you've heard that same kinda thing from boozehounds but coffee is more the thing you'd go to for caffeine whilst tea is more like a soft-drink without any sugar.
But...
But I like the coffee taste. I even bought decaff so I can have it any time and without withdrawal symptoms for how much I drink.
Coffee turns me inside out, so whilst it's a nice smell when someone is making coffee actually drinking it results in week long suffering.

Completely offtopic but it came to mind today for some reason, what do you make of rooibos tea? from what i remember you didn't like the caffeine in normal tea but rooibos doesn't contain it naturally
Never heard of it until now. If it doesn't have caffeine, I guess I could try it out. But I mean, isn't caffeine the whole point of tea-drinking? Seems like I may as well drink water or something, unless it has a good flavor.
It's a pretty neat tea, redbush is the Anglicized name from rooibos so you might find it called that more commonly. I wouldn't say so, I'd say it's more about the taste than for caffeine. I'm sure you've heard that same kinda thing from boozehounds but coffee is more the thing you'd go to for caffeine whilst tea is more like a soft-drink without any sugar. It's a good way to drink a lot of water too, stuff like ayurvedic tea is really reaaaaally good and that's just a blend of household spices used in a teabag. If you get the cheap stuff then tea can be pretty dire but the proper kind has a very nice flavour to it.

Denial [✓] Anger [✓] Bargaining [ ] Depression [ ] Acceptance [ ]
Do you really think I will ever accept this?
Because, I'll have you know, I have a fetish for proving people wrong.
