Well that's good then, probably a good thing that I've waited a while before getting one.

If they show off some games that are worth getting it for at E3 I shall be reasonably happy to pick one up. At the moment it's pretty much a buggy MCC and multiplats that are a grade below the PS4's multiplats. So it's kinda meh.

You're lucky that Rainbow Lorikeet didn't violently kill you
To be honest... I didn't just feed it nectar >_>

There was a small child walking past that I lobbed in it's general direction so that we could escape it's wrath. RIP Timothy.

Which zoo is this? I've only ever been to Chester Zoo.
There's also the Trentham Monkey Forest (no, not London), but that doesn't really count.
It's West Midlands Safari Park >.>

I think I've been to chester zoo the once, but I can't quite remember. I've been to quite a few others though, much better than amusement parks for me >_>

The Flood / Re: What is the Definition of "Weeb"
« on: May 30, 2015, 06:47:22 PM »
Well it works vaguely like this.

Urban Dictionary has a great definition for Weeaboos which is usually what people refer to
Quote
A non japanese person who basically denounces their own culture and calls themselves japanese. They try to learn japanese through the anime they watch and usually end up pronouncing it wrong and looking like a complete idiot.

KEEP IN MIND: that a non-japanese person can like the culture, watch anime, speak the language and RESPECT THE CULTURE, while still keeping in touch with there own. Which keeps them from being a Weeaboo, japanophile, ect.

Weeb is a contraction of Weeaboo, which can usually mean the same thing but on here in general usage it's referring to any of the weebs i.e the people who watch anime. We don't have any actual weeaboos on here thankfully, because good lord they are painful to behold.

It's used as a loose insult here but I wouldn't take it to heart, it's a mildly disparaging way to refer to anyone on here who watches chinese cartoons.

Hahaha! This made my day man. This is awesome! :D

Also:

We need to caption this image

Indeed, for some reason the picture says 'Jocephalopod will know the answer' but that could just be because it reminds me of Dug.

7964
Ehh I'm pretty sure it's meant to be in a case if you have it in public at all (Outside of a range obviously) even if it's just holding it while you move some shopping around in the car <.<

In a surprising turn of events, we actually had a day out today <_<
Pretty much for the first time in 5 or so years, give or take.

So I picked up my camera which hadn't seen use since... 2012 I think, for a school trip or something and took a few pictures to share <.<

We made it about 10 minutes into the park before I realised I'd forgotten to start taking photos so it's kind of abrupt but here is the first pic.
Philippine spotted deer

Then we drove a bit further along and there were Rhinos.
Spoiler
and some deer
Blackbucks to be specific

and an endangered goat or sheep or something.
Spoiler
A local politician
Spoiler

and some sleeping lions ontop of a giant lion rock
Spoiler

Then some White Lions

And then we were back in the African savannah area where we saw these fellows again (Saw them the first time around but forgot to take pics you see)
Common Eland

A mother feeding the calf

Same mother still feeding her calf

Then the highlight of my day <.<
A zebra came over to the car and we fed it with the special food that you buy to feed the animals on the way around the place.
Spoiler
My dad feeding the zebra

The zebra heading over for me to feed it

and also a very tiny crow that landed on my dad's hand as pointed out by El See.
This fellow had a look on his face that seemed to imply something but I'm not sure what, you can judge it <_<
Spoiler
Then a zebra foal that was waiting to be fed by the keepers
Spoiler
This idiot was about two feet away from losing his iphone.
Spoiler

A wild aussie surveying it's territory

Croikey.
Some young antelopes sat in the hay

Next up is some beautiful high definition, high resolution shots of...
Spoiler
A chain-link fence. FFS.

Oh and some white tigers or something but i mean just look at that craftsmanship.

There must have been something in the water for this pen because the animals were... odd.

Ever get the evil eye from a deer?

I did.
This majestic fucker

Funny thing is, I took this picture blind. So how on earth it ended up like that I have no idea.

And some tourists showing that the UK is still a popular holiday destination for yanks.
Spoiler

But seriously just look at that baby elephant, it's adorable e.e

Same camel, just with less divinity.

Next up is the discovery trail!
Where I fed this lorikeet, poor little guy was being ignored by the mouthbreathing meatbags because he had a scruffy coat. I fed him and he was most polite <.<
Spoiler

Animatronics are still cool, even when you are 20.
Spoiler

We then walked through a forest with lemurs running free

And finally we saw the Hippos before heading home. There is a bunch of other shit we saw that I either didn't photograph or the photos turned out shit so ahh well. Still, it was a great day out <_<

I would point out to Keyu and Luciana that finding something better to do with your time when you are depressed isn't exactly an easy thing to do <.<

The internet is an easy way to make time pass instead of sitting on the floor/sofa/bed and watching time crawl by. It's a relatively more comfortable window to something outside of your own head that doesn't involve the uphill battle to go out the front door >_>

You do get people who are particularly unstable though, using the internet for the same reasons and they are the ones prone to the tragic events like this one.

With the whole kill yourself joke, it's one that I'm pretty torn on. I can see when it's fine among friends, it's no different to the usual back and forth in that context and it's not something to get irate over. Case in point would be the user that will most likely be right above this reply <_<

It goes without saying that when it's not in that sort of context and is more along the lines of a pack of animals screaming JUMP JUMP JUMP then that sort of behaviour is beneath contempt.

Serious / Re: What kind of government would Heaven and Hell have?
« on: May 29, 2015, 08:52:42 PM »
Depends on your interpretation of the two, if you go by the generic view of them both (Dante's inferno // Pearly gates) then you have two Autocracies <.<

What God says goes in heaven, what Satan says goes in hell.

Or if you go with the much more boring views of the two, where you either disappear from existence (hell) or go into stasis to wait out the end of creation (heaven) which I think is one of the 'official' interpretations of heaven and hell. I could be wrong though.

I think that might be the Muslim one. Because the Catholics say you go to one or the other, or spend some time in Purgatory until you draw the card that lets you pass Go and collect $200.

OT: Heaven is a Benevolent Monarchy, Hell is an Authoritarian Dictatorship.
Ah yes, my bad I thought I'd muddled it up somehow >.>

7973
I'm getting really sick of this "triggering" bullshit.

Yes, some people may have had unpleasant life experiences whose memories get brought up with hearing/seeing/experiencing certain things. Shit happens. We can't just bubble-wrap everyone as to avoid experience unpleasant thoughts.

There's also the equivalency of this shit to real PTSD. People who go to war get PTSD. People who are raped and assaulted get PTSD. Because someone called you fat in 4th grade does not give you PTSD, and takes away from the very real struggle that people with real PTSD have.

Removing classic literature, poetry, etc, from classrooms speaks more to our culture than it does the literature we're removing.
I have also yet to read anything or hear anything from a professional that says 'The best treatment for PTSD is to completely avoid your triggers and to insulate yourself from the real world'. Infact, people usually go to shrinks to help get rid of the avoidance/insulation so that they can live a normal life.

That's not to say people with PTSD should be going out of their way to set off episodes, but they should be going to see a shrink to get it sorted with something like EMDR or more regular talking therapies.

Also a solid lol/10 for putting Confucius above Alexander the Great and Churchill.

It's almost as if people just voted by the name and not because they know what Confucianism tends to be like for the womenfolk :o
