It's hard to market a faceless customising screen in trailers that are trying to be cinematic rather than gameplay heavy. It might just be that this guy is the Lone Wanderer/Courier and then they open up the character to the player. Hopefully the worst case scenario is a bioware scheme (Shepard) and not a 'here we made this guy for you' <_<
I'm interested to see what people can identify of the thing shown shortly after the deathclaw/protectotron bit >.>

Beyond Armerlawk and Bloom, what was really that bad?
Bloom itself isn't even an issue if you don't spray and pray like a twelve year old.
Problems with Reach:
Bloom
Armour Lock
Active camo
Sword block
No bleedthrough
Paper vehicles (wasn't changed, still a problem)
Health/shields were tied to vehicle damage (wasn't changed, still a problem)
TU Reach is objectively better, sorry.
Bloom is a non-issue though, weapons shouldn't be perfectly accurate when you are going full retard with them. Active Camo was in previous halos, the invisibility it offered in reach was pisspoor which left radar jamming as the only decent bit about it. Not exactly a big issue. Sword block is fair enough but I think it was fine, rather than the sword being a 10 kill grapetrain it could be checked. Bleedthrough is ehh, again I don't really mind it but I do find it generally annoying to do X amount of damage to a shield and not affect the health so fair enough >.> Paper vehicles, vaguely. I blame the DMR for that though, that fucking rifle ruined BTB <_< Vehicle/Health tie in is a vaguer one, it's a bit stupid but at the same time combat vehicles were normally a one way ticket and the warthog was a death sentence <.< It wasn't perfect, but it was fun. The TU took that away.

What did they do to butcher custom games and zombies in Reacharound?
The changes to infection modes with the shields/health/maps etc killed off the fun of it. Custom Games was halo 4, which was my bad. It's been so long since I've given a shit about halo that the reasons why I gave up on it kind of blur together. If this was 2012 I could probably give a better answer. The population tanked though, the changes they brought in were too late for the whiners and spoiled the game for the people who still enjoyed it.

There were some interesting changes to those ghouls, the eyes seemed to glow and the general motion of the ones not flinging shopping carts was more like shuffler-zombies than the arms-raised-sprinting from FNV/3 <.<
