If this works on the practical level, we could maybe use it to juice up some power armour/exoskeletons instead of dragging a yuuuge cable and battery everywhere with it.

This is great e.e

Can the UK do this too but to poos?
is it even possible to illegally immigrate to the UK? It's a fucking island.
Yeah, the frogs cram them into the back of lorries and send them over on ferries. Except instead of sending them back when they get caught, the usual rigmarole over immigration happens.

LMAO You know nothing about the Middle East. He's a dictator. That makes him bad. He bombed peaceful protestors. That makes him bad.

Why do you think people were protesting him? Are you insane or just dumb?
"He's bad because I say he's bad, anyone who has an actual opinion is a stupid poopy head"

No Challenger, nobody takes you seriously. Go fuck a goat if you can't handle a conversation.
Just a little pointer, repeatedly calling someone a goat fucker doesn't really help make your case.

We had a fellow a little while ago who kept going down that route in arguments and he eventually had an embolism over something and left.

Yeah, that was a little bit too close to the truth there.
A fascist takeover is winning an election?
To be fair, most fascists see that as a legitimate means of obtaining power.

The next step is to abolish the democratic institutions in order to cement their grip on that power.
Fair point, not really what I was getting at though.

The Stitch ride is going seasonal and while they haven't outright said his Meet & Greet at breakfasts is going away, they said that his presence at the resort is being phased out for Moana, which includes his character meets.

WHAT

fuck off are they getting rid of lilo and stitch
I don't like this

lilo and stitch is the best anime disney ever did
mulan
That was pretty good, but lilo and stitch still comes out on top.

I'm really on the fence about seeing it.

On one hand it's a Disney movie, and a Disney movie getting rave reviews, I really want to see it. On the other hand, I'm incredibly fucking bitter and spiteful about Lilo And Stitch getting the shaft and being phased out of all the Polynesian stuff here at WDW, especially since it's all Stitch has. I only got to visit him for character breakfast once and knowing my schedule, I probably wont see him again before he's replaced by some fat tan dude with a bunch of tattoos and a grass skirt.
WHAT

fuck off are they getting rid of lilo and stitch

SO IF YOU LIVE IN AMERICA PLAY THE POWERBALL PLS. Just one ticket will do.
Wait why are you stuck until someone wins?

Got it today, so far quite happy with it.

It's not a complete breeze like the last couple too, it's not like platinum kind of merciless but it's given a few close calls rather than just rolling over.

How good is your comprehension would you say?
Like if I posted a block of runes like song lyrics or linked a clip of people talking in japanese, would you be able to get the gist of it?
For the former, it all depends. I guess you can pasta something and see how I do, though not lyrics if you can help it, because they use weird idioms in any language.

As far as audio comprehension, mine's pretty bad, as I've mostly focused on reading. Though, I can follow some audio at native-speed without much effort, such as basic conversational shit. But for the most part, muffly, native-speed audio where people are talking over each other and shit is pretty difficult to me, but something I'm slowly getting used to.

I guess the best summary of where I think I am is that I pretty much have have had the 2000 most-used Kanji down for quite a while (and a few obscure Kanji), and my repetoire of Kanji compounds and pronunciations has always been steadily accumlating too. I got a lot of stuff stored-up in brain, but I just don't spend enough time dragging them out and actually reading material long-form.

EDIT: Just to give you an example, I just randomly searched for "Japanese blogger" on YouTube and found this. With moderate-high concentration, I was able to understand probably 80% of it on my first listen (no JP/EN subtitles), with some gaps (such as "white day", which I've never heard of).

For difficult material, I usually listen-back multiple times, rewind the hard parts, and make heavy use of Japanese subtitles. Doing that usually helps me get a pretty solid understanding of hard stuff. Though muffly, subtitle-less, native-speed audio is still too much for me most of the time.

So yeah, generally Kanji, vocab and grammar is not a problem for me. The problem I have is just glueing the constituent parts together in my brain, and doing it fast enough. But the fix for that is nothing short of just having a lot of exposure.
Ah very good, you're certainly doing better than I am for reading.

I'm reasonably passable at listening to native speakers and understanding them, the stuff that throws me off is accents. Anything outside of standard tokyo dialect gets pretty incomprehensible lol.

Have you ever been there?

How long have you been learning moonrunes for? It'll be good to have a bit of practice
Eh, I've been at the chicken scratches for about 1.5 years now. Though I've been neglecting challenging myself for the last good while, partially because I've been juggling it with Chinese since I felt I made enough progress to not mind coasting on Japanese a little bit.

But, I'm back to focusing on it nearly-exclusively now, and going for stuff outside of my comfort level again. And taking translation requests is one of the things I like to do, since I get some form of enjoyment out of letting creeps know what their weebshit says.

What be your story, friend?
I imagine that spending some time learning chinese will help with recognising kanji though, or the particles within one. That's still something I'm not great at but mostly though lack of effort.

Hmm I started japanese in high school in 2008 I think, maybe early '09. Did it for a couple of years as a bit of fun after school, our school did an exchange program with the nearby language college so I got to go there and a few of theirs got to come to our school for arts etc. Pretty neat system.

Then I took it as a GCSE (End of highschool certificate sort of deal), completely blagged the whole thing and knew no katakana and about 20 kanji when I was supposed to know 200 but heyo I still passed with a good grade.

After that I kind of just kept it up as a bit of a hobby, I taught myself katakana and I've been working on kanji slowly and surely over the last 5 years so I'm at a decent level for it.

Biggest trouble for me has been the only other person I knew who spoke it gave up on it after highschool which kind of buggers any chance at improving it.

What'd you think of the iclandic peoples Psyche? My understanding is that that they're somewhat...different.
Hmm, they are a little bit different.

Generally speaking, there were exceptions of course, but the people there are quite stonefaced.
It's hard to describe because they weren't miserable or rude or anything, but you could tell they weren't the sort of people to get excitable over things.

It's a bit of a contrast from britain where you tend to get either 'rude cunt' or 'cheery soul' in shops and the like. Nobody was rude and everyone was quite polite but they were somewhat, distant I guess is the term.

Sounds good, I'll probably pick it up fairly soon then.

How is the difficulty though?
XY/ORAS was mindnumbingly easy, I get why they wanted to make it less grindy but I don't think I ever got to a gym and went 'well fuck' during the battle. Maybe it's to do with knowing the games better than when I was younger but I think there was a lot of design choice that made it a piece of cake.
I wouldn't say mind-numbingly easy this go-around, but at this point, I've conditioned myself to make the games more challenging in my own ways. That said, I honestly had a couple "well shit" moments against some of the Totem Pokémon.

Just turn off the Exp. Share, avoid using Z-moves, and try using Pokémon you've never trained before. It also may not hurt to impose some kind of item restriction, but that's approaching nuzlocke territory.
Yeah I'm not gonna use Exp share, Z moves sound kinda cool though.
I did that with Oras actually, I picked out a team of pokemon that I hadn't really used before (barring Aggron who is a must for every playthrough ever) but it was still a bit easy.

You wouldn't happen to know of a randomiser for S/M would you?
The trouble with full dex ones is they pick stupid shit like legendaries from the wrong game, but something that gives you a list of 6 obtainables in SM would be great for mixing things up.
