Funnily enough though there's actually a little truth to what I said, it's why I've always been against visiting a psychiatrist. Imagine telling the shrink I enjoy talking to myself more so than other human beings, they'd tap a little button on the side of their chair and 20 seconds 2 guys run in with a straitjacket
Well let me put it like this, the 8 or so different shrinks I've burned through haven't seen enough to worry them to the point of sectioning so I'd say I'm not that dangerous. Either that or gross incompetence is rife within the profession. e.e Jokes aside, I might be a fucking nutter but I do have control over myself which is what separates the doctor from the patient e.e And as for the concern, I think you'd be surprised how understanding veteran psychs can be for eccentricities like that. You'd have to be pretty damn stir crazy for them to cart you off like that, given some of the uh... things I've discussed with some of them and how I'm not in a hospital right now I'd say you should be fine. And it does really help, I imagine I would be on the inpatients ward right now if I hadn't seen them in the first place sooooo if you are concerned It's not a bad idea to go and have a little chat with one >.>

As others have said already, if you want to go with IT then go with the RAF. There is a lot more IT shit going on there than in the regular army <.<
It's probably worth speaking to Connexions about it, unless they've already been axed for your area in which case maybe check the websites for the respective forces and see what it says.
My understanding of both navy and Air Force is that their selection criteria are a shit ton harder to get in. And that having been in cadets or something is also preferred.
Hmm well there is something to that I think, one of my classmates wanted to join the RAF but because he was flatfooted they said he couldn't join them (iirc) so he went with the infantry instead.
