The Flood / Re: Why are people so obsessed with their parents?

Depends a lot on the person in question, but it would likely just be down to putting the mother on a pedestal and seeking parental approval from a tsundere father.

What is it with Halo doing promo stuff with junk food? They did a promo with Halo 4 before the Mountain Dew and Dorito meme started.

Monster Ultra has 0 calories and 0 sugar.
Calories and Sugar would be the least of your concerns if you were to drink a can of that stuff.

I drink those everyday and I'm fine.
People also smoke everyday and appear fine, the health problems come later.

Show me the study where they concluded that drinking Monster regularly will have give you health problems in the long term.
Monster specifically or will you accept ones based on the ingredients?

What the fuck do you think asshole?
I think that's mighty rude of you, but here we go all the same.

tl;dr is this

Aspartame is bad
Acesuflame-K is bad
Caffeine in ridiculous quantities is bad
Benzoic acid reacts with ascorbic acid to make benzene in your body

Drinking monster ultra, or any diet soft drink for that matter, is really fucking bad for your health in the long run.
Not that regular ones are all that much better, you are just trading one devil for another in the sugar intake.

lol don't use rat testing as proof. My liver is as big as an entire rat.
And this is why I put no effort into grabbing some sources.

It's up to you really, if you want to drink that swill then nobody is going to stop you. Just pray that future you doesn't look back at present you in resentment over that choice.

Oh and even if you contest the aspartame - cancer link, the direct physiological effects on how it causes your body to start converting fat cells is up for slightly less debate.

Think of it like this, next time you see a landwhale blubbering through the checkout. Look over and see how many diet cokes they have rammed in the trolley.

How the fuck does that work? Doesn't the game take place when Medicine was one step above Barbarism and the closest thing to surgery was chopping limbs off?
It was during the Industrial Revolution, not Roman times.
Well I mean, 18/9th century medicine was pretty dire.

In addition, developers have updated the text at the start of the game to read "Inspired by historical events and characters, this work of fiction was designed, developed, and produced by a multicultural team of various beliefs, sexual orientations and gender identities."
Progressive pandering for the sake of pandering? I see that the game's inclusiveness of atypical people already isn't off to a great or genuine start.
I remember when the games just said a multifaith team to avoid the butthurt from gODbotherers and mooslamics.

If you wanna pull one over on the foreigners then just talk in bonglish rather than look down on them >_>
Yeah I know my English needs some work. I've signed up for English courses for November.
It's not bad by any means, digger is just being a bit of a nob about it.
Thank you, It can always be improved.  It's one of most used languages.
Indeed, spending time on an english speaking forum (like this one) is one of the better ways to improve it if you don't get to use it frequently IRL.

gee no wonder you chose to study a pseudo-science
That's not a secret though.

I like Biology and Chemistry, Physics was pretty borderline. But a lesson devoted solely to numbers with no application beyond the sake of it? No thank you.
