This truly is a place that holds up to "you have no right to be offended". If people can't handle the shit here, it's their own problem.

That said, newbies should be brought up to speed on this. They need to know shit gets flung around here and that most of it isn't to be taken seriously.
Get a sticky thread written by mods with a disclaimer that no one actually means what they say when they insult someone.

I played a single match yesterday and I turned the system off once it was done with. That was one of the most boring things I've played. I've spent a great deal of time looking for someone to kill and it's bullshit that you have to unlock vehicles, weapons and equipment. God forbid the class system stayed in place and the vehicles are located on the map like the other games.
You wot

The vehicles are all located on the map, you have to go and pick them up and call them in.
Finding them is a bitch and if you do find an icon it takes time to get the vehicle and you can get killed during that period. I ended up getting killed at the last second because of that bullshit. Those icons are a retarded design which makes no sense at all. There's no damn good reason why the vehicles couldn't have been handled in the same way Battlefield has them. BF4 and Hardline don't use icons so why should this game when it's the same shit?
They could have been if they were just making a battlefield clone.

If you are getting killed when trying to call something in you have two options.
1. Grab the pickup and jetpack away whilst simultaneously calling it in. You'll land on the ground right as the timer is complete.
2. Bubbleshield that shit and hope they don't have a sniper

The first of the two works 19 times out of 20 (from what I've tried)

I'll add Otaku to Psy's sheet until I can find a decent alternative, because apparently the term "Otaku" is inflammatory if it's used by me.

I'm a serial killer and I object to this.

Some to add for Gramma Elsie.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DeepSouth
His quaint traditionalist way of life in the deep south of California bears many of the hallmarks found in highly inbred mountain folk and cannibalistic psychopaths. He loves his southern roots and how he used to own slaves, spends his time on XBL pining for days past and of the future when the south will rise again.

LC is actually very adept at sarcasm and never fails to detect when tru and I are mercilessly taking the piss with a deadpan serious tone of voice.

These might help.

World War Z was a brilliant book, pity the film was eh but that's the way it goes.

I've been reading the Dune series lately and it's really bloody good, easily made itself into a favourite to surpass most 40k series >_>

I'd occasionally log in to see how things were even after I left last year.

After this latest update, even though I can still post there cause density linked account etc - I have absolutely zero inclination to do so. I don't even sign in when someone links a thread/comment there.

Amusingly, I used their site more for destiny stuff in the last year than I did ever posting on it. It's fallen pretty damn far.

Sure sneaky tactics should be rewarded but equally there shouldn't be that level of spawnrape going on, at least not from the back.

Teamwork-sneaky-spawnrape should be allowed to go on, just like having a SOFLAM/Javelin/Support guy on top of the Caspian Border Radio Tower was great on either side (though better on the Russian side, until they nerfed it).

Well I mean that I don't have a problem with, because you at least have ways of countering it.

Being shot in the back by a laser turret as soon as you get off the spawn screen is uh... not very fun.

The doors of death are kind of shitty, but my only real gripe at the moment is how a couple of troopers can leggit along the outside of the map behind the rebel line and set up in turrets overlooking their external spawns for the rest of the uplink wave.

Sure sneaky tactics should be rewarded but equally there shouldn't be that level of spawnrape going on, at least not from the back.

Hmm, I used to get pretty wound up when playing BF4.

It was mostly just venting rather than I'm going to break shit, but on occasion I'd be shoved a little too far past mad, platinum mad and into 'outta my way vietnam fucking shits' territory.

Usually I'd just hammer my hand into my desk until it hurt too much to play so that I wouldn't just go back five minutes later and get even more wound up. Or I'd kick this stupid little air purifier we had in the room which churned out heat like a motherfucker and made the air really quite uncomfortable.

I'd never hit/break/smash anything of value to me though, closest I've come to that is throwing the PS4 mic off and the plastic casing coming off the electronics (I fixed it though) <.<

Nowadays I'm a lot more laid back, it takes an inordinate amount of bullshit to get me riled up beyond a bit of bad language.

blasters =/= lasers

Yeah, blasters =/= lasers

Just like how guns aren't literally bullets.

They fire bolts of super heated gas. That's not a laser.

Semantics. I'm discussing having to lead your shot not what exactly my gun is firing
Erm, actually it's kind of an important difference.

Lasers travel at lightspeed, plasma doesn't.
I'm talking about how the gunplay is so ignore the fact I used the wrong term to identify a fictional projectile
Well then what's the problem?

I'm crossmapping people with ease, the laser guns basically fire themselves. The only one that takes a modicum of skill is the cycle rifle and that's just because the reticule/zoom is wonky in 3rd person.

Compared to battlefield 4, the gunplay in this is for toddlers.

Welcome to the ricefield I've been living in for the last two years.

I could put all of the module information in the memo titled shit I already know and mail it to myself each week but eh, I still went along with it. It doesn't hurt to drum it into your brain until you can recite that kind of shit verbatim.
