Hmm, well early years I guess I wanted to be a nigel strawberry type. Then a zookeeper of some kind. Then that sort of dried up reasonably early, I like animals but it's just not really the career for me.
But if I ever burn out on meatbag psychology though, I'll probably bugger off to go and work with apes instead <_<
Then by the time I was in high school I was set on going into Medicine, got all the work placements and the grades etc but I ended up a little bit unwell during sixth form which basically put paid to that because of how insanely high the requirements are to get in.
During sixth form I was doing Psychology along with Bio/Chem/Physics etc and I actually really enjoyed it. By the time I had to leave because of my health I was reasonably sure that even if it wasn't my original plan I'd still find working with meatbag minds more interesting than working with their bodies.
So Biologist -> Zoologist -> Doctor -> Psychologist, that's the way it's gone.
