I finished the Dune book in August and I've been reading the sequels since then, I have to say it's easily made it into my favourites category.
The events of Dune were good, Dune Messiah was a very interesting evolution from that but it was Children of Dune which started the chain of events that's really caught my eye.
I don't want to accidentally spoil things and the like, so I'll keep it vague but Leto II > Muad Dib.
And I had no idea of getting the sequels.
I would certainly recommend them, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune and God-Emperor of Dune. They are all pretty cheap too.

It is a bit of a strange thing, but it really boils down to what people wish to divulge about themselves.
I'm really quite fond of the pseudo-anonymity of places like this, you get to be a lot more honest about yourself. For example if someone IRL asked me a question about exactly how I ended up ill, they'll get a lot of half-truths and have a nice socially palatable picture painted for them.
Whereas online, if someone wanted to see my case notes so to speak I'd have no problem with letting them know the details of how I ended up as a basket case. Even within that, there are still a few topics I don't really discuss outside of people I trust a fair amount. Like everyone will know of the e.e but there aren't many who I've told the specifics about it because it's not really something I enjoy talking about.
The internet is a wonderful place, even if the people you see everyday on it are still in effect strangers it's not an unpleasant situation imo.
