The Flood / Re: Why Was Elegiac Banned?
« on: October 28, 2015, 11:28:56 AM »
Tough shit Princess Leia

Worse things have been said before to other people

She can't just get mad and ban someone when she gets butthurt
She can't ban people period, because she's a monitor. So it was someone else.
Monitors have ban powers no?
They don't.

What the hell do they do then?
Nothing.

They just use the report button.
Literally the same as anyone else.
They lock and move threads.
Oh what a great service.
It's quite useful to have a pair of eyes who's job it is to look for things like that, or to pick up on threads that are going sour. There are a grand total of three people on this site that report things with anything that could be called regularity, so simply relying on that for everything along with normal moderator browsing isn't a great combination to catch everything.

Elegiac was banned for posting personal information about another user, it's a 50% ban so he'll be back soon enough.

It wasn't anything on par with doxing so the ban is only a relatively short one, but the moral of the story is if someone tells you something in confidence then posting about it on the forums is likely to earn you a slap.

Keep your drama to yourselves, or save it for anarchy.

There are a few locations that you can uh... get trapped in <.<

It's just a side effect of the game having such a large amount of content/locations that occasionally bugs get overlooked. Thankfully they aren't common but the best thing anyone can do when playing a title like Fallout is to save often and stagger your saves.

Unfortunately save corruption can happen sometimes for some reason, but that's basically just divine intervention in terms of how it occurs/unable to prevent.

Careful now OP, make sure you don't catch the gay!

But yeah I mean, I can see why it would wrongfoot someone. Don't think about it too much, should the chap appear again and ask you about it or anything along those lines then you could just use that to mention that you are already in a relationship with someone and that should be the end of that.

We almost finished it but LC is a gook and he left us at the altar.

First impressions are as follows
Some minor story spoilers but nothing major, you can probably read this and not have anything ruined
Prometheans are less tiresome to fight, but still the most irritating enemies in anything ever.
Covie weapons are still on the whole - completely shite
Music is weird, like a remix of previous halp games
UNSC weapons stronk, me likey
Story is alright, not as bad as some people might think but still a bit 'oh alright then'
Descope can get hit by a bus, jesus christ that shit is annoying.
The warden can also get run over by every truck and car that exists
The warden's 50000000 friends can also join them
I like that the levels are less eye-rape than Halp 4 I've managed aboot 10 hours solid without dying today.
Squad banter is good
Locke is more tolerable than I thought he'd be
Palmer is notably less grating
Halsey is still hitler hurrhurr
and uh
Legendary is a pain, but doable provided you aren't fatigued to all hell.

Fun game though, I think I might forgib the atrocity of halp 4 with this game.
LC was bad

BAD

you were good though

I've been watching you three since 4pm >.>
I got to bring my battlefield shitbucket along for the ride e.e

We'll be continuing at 2am ish when LC gets back if you are still alive at that point (or if we are for that matter)

It'll be nice to watch ISIS fight a real army instead of poorly equipped militias and breaking point conscripts.
Hold on now. Hezbollah isn't a joke like everyone else.
Hmm good point, I forgot they were creeping into the fight >_>

I mean, murder is a bit excessive but losing a limb or a few pints of blood would have been proportionate.

The first U-turn on Tory policy I'm glad to see.
Yeah, you see I wasn't sure if I was just missing something here or if slashing tax credits was indeed a really bad idea.

It uh, certainly looked like one at face value <.<
It's not a bad idea.

It's fucking horrendous. Even the Adam Smith Institute and Tory grandees like Nigel Lawson are calling for a reversal.
Well shit, erm then this is a very good thing then <_<

Anime is the lesser of two evils e.e

Bargain Hunt
A fate worse than death.

Royal mail says my game is going to arrive at 1.00pm, latest

I'm not sure I have the endurance for Caught Red Handed and Escape to the Country ;-;
Just play something on the xbone instead <.<

Surely there is something more entertaining than... that...

Or you could turn on ITV and watch Jezza with some popcorn.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34644262

Article is linked but loosely I'd rather discuss the function of the house of lords rather than the cuts themselves/osborne's sour grapes etc.

The tantrum is over the house of lords throwing convention out of the window where they would just rubber stamp taxation bills and the like. Instead they've walked in and said 'on your bike' to this latest proposal instead of just sitting idly by.

Even if you aren't keen on the concept of the house of lords, the function it serves should still be reasonably similar to something like the senate. I'm not sure why a room stacked full of businessmen-peers shouldn't be able to question/delay controversial tax reforms.

If they were simply stonewalling anything and everything that was sent their way, then I could understand this desire for reform but it just strikes me as the cabinet having a hissy fit because their plans were delayed until a review of the financial impact of these cuts could be determined.

As opposed to rushing them through and then picking up the pieces afterwards.

So anyhoo, this is probably beyond most of the yanks so hello meta, what do you make of the HoL?

I try to avoid it because um... well if you've ever seen the sort of shite a dog will eat then the thought of having that smeared across your hand/face is pretty revolting.

How do you "sort of" die?
Would you like to find out? e.e
pls no
Why does nobody ever want to find out? ;-;

I was only going to explain it as well.

Such a judgemental site I swear ;_;

Well, me.

I died two years ago and yet somehow I'm still walking around the place.

well, at least you won't have to dress up for halloween

so basically you're now a dead centaur, except the opposite way around
I think if I was to be incarnated as all of the many uh... facets to my existence at once it wouldn't be a pretty sight.

A robot with a horses head and no legs.

oh

We drop it after this post, both of you have been given warnings for the two corresponding posts because I'd rather not kill this discussion off over two errant words but equally that shit isn't going to fly in serious.

If you'd rather that the pair of you were given a 24 hour time out from Serious instead of the current 25% slap, that is easily arranged. Prisoner's dilemma for you, PM me if you want to see yourself and the other kicked out for a day or say nothing and you both keep the 25.

Continue the original topic at hand now though.

It was just getting good as well <.<
>automatic one day ban for insults

Top moderating.
Have it your way then.
