John dies at the end

Mod note: This is not a real spoiler. Franky confirmed months ago that the Chief does not die in Halo 5 because he's a main character in Halo 6.
I think he was referencing the book elsie.
I was referencing the movie you a shit

Movie of a book you uncultured swine.
I thought he was making an RDR joke.

A year or two ago I'd have said depression, maybe the anxiety but thankfully neither of those are a notable problem anymore.

Which just leaves the underlying problem of being a bit screwy in the mind department.
On the whole I wouldn't say it's a problem for the day to day living; I'm not paranoid, delusional or affected with any other psychosis as such but there is still something scratching away in the back of my head and it's uh... kinda unnerving.

It turned up a couple of times in 2013, once in '14 and then went away again, nothing that I'd say would cause me alarm as such but a few times in the last fortnight has me moderately concerned.

I could really do without having a full blown psychotic break tbh
that would really fuck with my studies and job you see
not to mention the fuckery that would do to future career prospects, it's kinda hard to be the doctor when you are the inpatient yourself.

Ah well

This game REALLY picks up during Act 2.

The characters are pretty interesting, too.
That's good to know, the pace has been very hmm measured for the early game.

Which is good, I didn't want to be thrown bolts first into a warzone but it's quite laid back for a fallout game. A bit of go here, loot this, kill some of those, find something shiny.

Nonspoiler answer if you can, do you get to choose between factions or is it... railroaded? >_>

Like BOS/Institute divide and the minutemen on the sidelines or is it more convoluted than that <.<
You can choose between Institute, BOS, Minutemen and Railroad.
For the ending you mean? Because I've joined both the BoS and Minuteman as of now.
Spoiler
From what I've seen it's kind of like New Vegas in which you can work with all sides up until a certain point when one side gets pissed off. Although I think if you do any Institute missions the Railroad refuses to let you help them.
Hmm. Thanks. I'm gonna want to do them all. It's gonna be hard to choose between them.
Don't quote me on it, haven't taken enough of a look at the guide to be certain.
Spoiler
Okay. I'm far away from it anyways. I hope lol. Just only met the BoS and got to Diamond City. Do you happen to know where I can get seeds? I have a quest at Sanctuary to get food for the residents.
Spoiler
To the west? of lexington, up the slope you should find a greenhouse staffed by mister handy bots. I'd have a little look around in that area <.<

Not a huge amount really, it's just a part time job and all that.

I make about £50 a week, not really enough to make any meaningful savings but I set some aside anyway.

Out of curiosity, was said post an actual criticism or just shitposting?
Admittedly it was a shitpost, but it was done in response to a circlejerk of Liberal shitposts.

I don't really care that I got shadowbanned though, since I made the post on a throwaway because I know how leddit can be when it comes to politics.
Ahh well

But yeah I honestly wouldn't bother with reddit and politics, it's barely tolerable to skim for Fallout news.
Yeah, usually I stay off the mains and stick to various game-related subs and non political subs. I just got bored and wanted to test the hivemind to see if it was as bad as everyone says it is. leddit politics is almost as bad as tumblr feminism.
Yup, I lurk in the odd one to do with games that require external info (Fallout 4, Gook Order and Pokemon friend safari) but beyond that I can't stand it.

Tumblr feminism is at least funny, the reddit shit is just unnerving.

It doesn't even have to be anti-trans really, just any trans thread = 300+ replies and flamewars abound.

It doesn't matter. The response would have been the same regardless.
I don't doubt that it would, but I'd prefer to see this happen over legitimate criticisms than just shitposts.

It's funnier to watch the hivemind defend itself against actual threats.

Really though, it's still early days and all but I've come out of it very satisfied.

The banter over the AI being as shit as usual I'd actually happily argue that point, I've played mostly on survival because I wanted a challenge and I sure as fucking hell got one. I did turn it down to normal though for one dungeon/factory crawl - christ almighty it was insane but it was locking my progress out >_>

What I saw from the AI on survival was something that could pass for bad player in PVP as opposed to the usual utterly predictable banzai charging idiocy.

Outflanking using angles that as I said above, genuinely caught me off guard as opposed to just sneaking around the other side of the rock to spoopyme. Coordination among enemies too, the synchronised attack they pulled off was quite impressive to see.

They seemed notably dumber on normal though, so I'd hazard a guess at them dialling down the intelligence the closer you get to easy/very easy mode. Not a fan of the bullet sponge factor for survival, but it's not overly punishing and I'm mostly happy for the tradeoff to go up against smart enemies.

The settlements stuff is a bit clunky, I'd have liked to see more polish on the magnetism/some clipping for objects but it's useable.

FPS issues once or twice, long scope = unusable but nothing overly game ruining.

Good job bethesda, you lived up to my expectations e.e

what an absolute disgrace of a game

this isn't a fallout title

this is fucking minecraft with guns in skyrim

the looting is shit, it's for casual babies it doesn't even tell you the weight level of items unless you look at them in the pipboy

gunplay is trash

vats is broken

no hardcore mode

fps problems

my left leg stopped working again

the plastic to get into the game was kinda tricky to open

modding weapons JUST WORKS

there is no skill involved whatsoever

the AI is flat out retarded and did not pull off a 10/10 co-ordinated flanking maneurvre in which three raiders scaled the roof behind me and leant over the edge to shoot down at me in cover simultaneously

no mods

HATE NEWSPAPERS

HATE FALLOUT 4

brb i'm going to jump under the nearest bus with my two pipboys, one on each arm for the most autistic suicide ever conceived

We don't have the day off though.

OT: Because the traditional pastime in Britain is complaining about how shit it is to live here. The weather is shit, the food is shit, the people are either toff wankers or pondscum, every other shop in a town centre is a kebab shop and I could go on and on but basically the only good thing about this country is the NHS which is why people get so fanatical about defending it from the privatisation predators.
I too, enjoy getting over the flu naturally before the doctor has time to see me.
top banter

but sadly true
