The Flood / Re: note taking thread
« on: November 20, 2015, 11:23:03 AM »
I long since gave up on note taking, getting cramp in my hand whilst I spammed out some barely legible spider-scrawl  was uh... not very pleasant.

I don't really need to do note taking nowadays anyway, what I need to do is memorise and recall the location of information that I want to get.

So say someone asks a question on OCD that I don't quite have off the top of my head, I know which textbook to get from the shelf and what page has the detailed bit of information that I want to use.

A good example would be the essay I've been working on, I wanted to include some statistics on co-morbidity rates but the textbook from the university is shite so I had to go and open the clinical textbook for them. But there it was on the page I remembered, the graph with all the data I could ever want e.e
>using your cripple disease as an excuse
That was before I started to decay tho

decaying didn't really help matters mind you, but either way I don't do note taking

I do just fine by scanning my textbooks, no need to write everything out to make sure I remember what I've just read <_<

One thing I've noticed with the radiant quest 'Cleansing the Commonwealth' is that it resets the entire area.

Enemies of course, but loot as well.

Since it's given me the same location twice in a row, I assume this can happen more than once and it basically means you get to clean out the same location as many times as you feel like doing the quest.

One thing I'll credit them with for that quest though, is they made a radiant quest with a decent reliable reward and it's fun to do. Massacring your way through 20 odd enemies to get 250xp + 100 caps + Loot/Killxp = E.E

I imagine this might be fixed soon though, so uh exploit away if that's your inclination >_>

The Flood / Re: What are the oldest memories you have of your fetishes?
« on: November 20, 2015, 08:54:52 AM »
Do you think experiences as a child determine whether you're gay or straight? That's rhetorical, by the way, they don't. Fetishes are literally no different at all.
yeah but you're just saying that

because i think they're extremely different
the fact that you're born with your sexuality is intuitive--it actually makes sense

our sexual drive is one of the oldest, most powerful, and most prominent biological instincts that we have, and it makes sense, because if we didn't have that instinct, then we probably wouldn't fuck (and reproduce) nearly as much

fetishes, on the other hand, serve no real biological purpose--you could maybe argue that they're designed to keep us interested in sexual conquest, because after you fuck the same exact way for however many years, shit probably gets a little bit boring, so our mind comes up with ways to make sex wild and fun again

...but that would mean they'd have to be acquired, which you're arguing against

most fetishes are based not around vague, nebulous concepts like "masculinity" and "femininity"
one of the hallmarks of sexual fetishists is that they tend to be very particular about their fetish

so what the fuck
There's no biological purpose to homosexuality, so this argument makes no sense.
Actually there are a fair few purported theories as to why it occurs, all of which are evolutionarily sound (Or fairly close anyway).

I could try and explain it all and make a pigs ear of it, but the author of this article does a splendid job so I'd just have a read

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26089486

tl;dr is that if the allele theory is the correct one, it increases fertility/reproductive rates in females and occasionally gets passed onto males so the net result is still a positive shift on the natural selection route.

Tfw sanctuary has an income of 150 purified water.

Also to get easy money you could just do the caps glitch.
Never really been a fan of glitches, I prefer exploits really <.<

Most of my favourite memories in skyrim are of exploiting the everloving shit out of something for XP/Levels/Gold etc

I might disassemble my money-farm when I have enough caps

What's your setup? I've been using water purifiers around Fort Strong.
Same kind of thing but at sanctuary instead >_>

It might depend on the area, I managed to build a hell of a lot of shite at sanctuary but I did hit the cap this evening and I was a little disappointed.

I might disassemble my money-farm when I have enough caps, or the whirly sparky spoilers thing too.

I love how you can vote for Al-Baghdadi
I mean, ISIS has pretty much been THE news for the last year and a half.
Which is true, but afaik they didn't award Bin Laden the person of the year award after 9/11.

But seeing as they have a horse in the running too, I guess they don't class people as a human exclusive event.

Seriously though, White Phosphorus really should never be used.
It's not white phosphorus, well that's what I'm reading anyway
It certainly looked like it
That'll get them in more shit with the UN.
Considering Russia gets to sit at the UNSC and laugh every time people try to complain at them, I doubt they'll give much of a flying fuck.

Not to mention the rampant hypocrisy it would entail for the west to shit on russia for making arab BBQs when the israelis do the exact same thing.
B-B-But Israel does nothing wrong!!! They're Jewish and therefore are exempt from anything!!!
Gotta love the fundies propping up the state they need for judgement day to begin.

Not really NSFW, just a lightshow but uh go figure what happened to those standing beneath the fireworks
