Daily reminder that I DON'T WANT TO WORK ON CHRISTMAS EVE YOU LITTLE GOBSHITE FUCKING CHRIST

also getting unbanned by 1% of decay and proceeding to repeat exactly what got you banned in the first place is a good way to get smacked for six.

Or seven in this case.

So we'll see kupo no pico in the new year and also let this be a reminder to not get on the naughty list this christmas time.

Mainland europe has a lot more firearms to deal with courtesy of the balkans going to shit,
Police were armed far before that.

Well I better pack my shit and go home. I've been completely and utterly destroyed by this argument.

Spain has barely any guns. There are like 4 different factions of police and they're all armed. People aren't killed by police like in America. Same with Germany.

The UK has criminal gangs repairing old deactivated firearms to try and have something that shoots, a few farmers with shotguns and hunting rifles and a bunch of air rifles.
It's pretty much the same across all of Western Europe.

We don't need every police officer to be carrying guns 24/7 for the UK to be safe.
Yeah, you really do.
You would know best having lived here all your life wouldn't you?

We don't need any more guns than we already have, simple as that. Firearms officers do their job and they do it well, their role does not need to be blended with that of the regular officers.

It's christmas eve and I really couldn't give a toss about this any further, feel free to keep on clapping though.

Lovely, let's continue to copy all the worst aspects of America.

They haven't needed them this far, they won't need them in the near future. Giving them access to guns means they are going to get used when chances are they don't need to be, the public enquiry bill for a firearms officer shooting some skaghead in london was absurd and the rioting/looting that people carried out afterwards is hardly worth giving them guns.

Pepper spray or tasers? sure
muh 9mm? fuck off with that shit
Yeah, it's not like every European country has armed police officers. This a disgusting American thing (which is unique to America, LOL they're so dumb and violent UK ftw mashallah my brother) which doesn't exist anywhere else and any time an officer is armed ALL it leads to is innocent lives being TAKEN and not SAVED.
We have them here, it isn't standard equipment because it isn't necessary.
Firearms officers have been perfectly able to respond to any incidents involving weapons in the past, without the average bobby needing a pistol.

We don't need them in that quantity because the average retard on the street doesn't have easy access to firearms.
It is necessary. That's why almost every if not every European police force is armed.

Gaming / Re: "It's good to be back." | Fallout Megathread
« on: December 24, 2015, 01:48:39 AM »
I found this pre-war quarry called Dunwich Borers full of Raiders that I needed to clear out for this nearby settlement. So I went there and went inside and I totally wasn't expecting what I was gonna find in there.

It just kept going deeper and deeper down into the earth and felt like I was gonna end up in Hell. I seriously thought at one point to turn around because it felt endless but I kept going. I thought "There better be a bobblehead or something valuable down here" and literally 3 seconds after I said that I found a bobblehead, the one for Sneak if I remember correctly.

And the thing I thought was cool was that there were these light switches that would light up an area and Feral Ghouls would wake up and go apeshit on you for waking them up.

There were also flashbacks you would see before the war, like what the Dunwich Building did in Fallout 3. There was even a shrine-thing at the very bottom of this quarry with a special dagger you can get.

What I thought was just a simple Raider camp ended up being a nightmare. Lots of shotgun shells and stimpacks were spent that day.
I wandered down there out of curiosity but thankfully I was in full on jetpack assault armour with a taser-supersledge and a bunch of my best guns >_>

Still burned through all of my stimpaks by the end.

So. Many. Withered. Ghouls. FML

Waiting for the mods tbh
yes it is, but it'd be about the same as the bloody spoiler pyramids

It'd probably be edited down to size, but something like the one in the OP wouldn't per se.

I tried to keep it small in case you guys were unhappy
It might not be the best thing to say as a mod, but really people don't need to worry too much about us getting itchy trigger fingers.

Provided you aren't really making a nuisance of yourself, flaming someone or breaking the more serious rules then the worst that might happen is an edit and a word in a thread.

but it was appreciated ofc, I don't like having to scroll down 300 times to get to the edit buttons of a post lol

The Flood / Re: Christianity has the DEEPEST lore
« on: December 23, 2015, 01:07:22 PM »
I might be missing something but why does stabbing jesus with a spear make you a saint?
supposedly he was blind at the time and when Christ's blood hit him in the eye he could see again. Then he later becomes a christian.

Christian lore is full of stuff like this.
oh

so a blind man accidentally sticks jesus in the ribs with a pigpoker
gets blood in his eyes and ends up with HIV/vision again
and converts

oooooooooooooooke

to be fair though, there are a lot weirder and less convincing stories behind some of the many saints listed <_<

The Flood / Re: What is the role of a moderator?

imo
m
o

Moderating requires you to be able to do both for obvious reasons, but more importantly and this is the bit that probably doesn't come across to easily - being able to use your intuition to defuse a situation rather than simply laying about the place with hammers.

That works on Bnet because alts were/are a dime a dozen, they have an endless stream of new users populating the place and their userbase is already gargantuan.

The loss of any user on here, is a much larger loss than it would be on a larger forum - even if they are a 'shitty' member. There are very few completely irredeemable shitheads, even some of the worst of us have good traits and things to discuss.

So being able to break up a fight with words rather than the hammers, allows everyone to continue spending time here talking to people they do get along with rather than flaming someone they don't. The hammers should be the last resort, or if someone has just flagrantly wiped their arse with the rules of the site then they might need a reminder on it.

i.e spamming porn =/= getting into an argument with someone that derails a thread.

So yeah, one of the things we (the staff) try to look for is people with adaptable minds, because moderating this place is anything but black and white.

I used to have mine looking like Emile's set, but then the day before bnet froze it all I changed it to be as bulky and tryhard as possible.

So now I've got the typical security/mk6/big collar/knife/swole set up aaaaand I hate it looking like that forever ;_;

I'll say this regarding the interpretation issue over the rules

The average user of sep7agon is, believe it or not, actually smarter than the average mouthbreather in the street.
To put it more bluntly, there are a bunch of clever little bastards on this site who find every loophole under the sun and then make some more in the process. If we adhered to some absolutely concrete rules with no flexibility, the mods would end up either going full nazi (not hyperbole, you'd have to crackdown like full blown goosesteppers and thus kill the site) or they'd have rings run around them by the smart little gobshites on here.

We have to be able to adapt the rules a little now and then to make sure that people don't get away with being a cheeki breeki.

In short: black and white thinking is utterly useless
