I heard my parents mention how they thought Trump was a "dangerous person"
I don't know much about their political affiliations, but I thought that was kind of interesting to hear from them
I don't know much about Trump's policies either since I haven't been following the US election all that much, but the ones I have heard sound ridiculous. It feels more like he's doing this for the laughs rather than being an actual serious candidate
I thought this was satire
Until I walked into the living room and saw the news here talking about it
#votetrump2016
...that wasn't satire?

I find it harder and harder every day to keep on shilling for the EU. The justice minister warned against linking the crimes to the issue of migrants and refugees. Mhm, sure.

You should probably spoiler that Star Wars one
That was my original idea, but I put Deci as number 1 for related reasons
Except you should still spoiler it. You're breaking the rules by not doing so too.
Edited it for him.

I used to quite enjoy it, but after getting chucked off twice in a row (lol @ getting back on the horse) I don't think it would do my spine any good to try a third time.
The first time someone loosed a dog at the horse (thank you very much kind person) who bolted, I was trying to get off but my leg was stuck in the stirrup which ended up a bit like this scene from LOTR
The other time was the handler being a dipshit and stressing out the horse with a lunging crop. Horse starts juddering and tensing up, so I pop my feet out of the stirrups and get ready to land on my arse.
It was fun though, ever since we had to give the horses away it's not likely to be something I'll be doing again anytime soon.
(This was all like 10 years ago so)
o shit that seems painful, kinda glad i didn't ride with a saddle now that i'm thinking about that happening. i just rode with a bareback pad so my legs were hanging free. the horse i was on spooked one time while we were in the trails and threw me on the dirt, but i didn't get hurt or anything
It wasn't too bad, I don't think it really did any damage it was just a bit jarring. Although I think it compounded my back injury from a few years before, in which courtesy of my own stupidity I ended up arsebones first onto concrete at a high velocity and boy howdy did that hurt. So probably best to not keep it up in the end either way >_> Never rode without a saddle/stirrups though, that always seemed quite dangerous to me.

My dad likes to hoard old technology that is irrelevant in today's world.
He kept my old, fat PS2 that doesn't work anymore even though he knows 0 things about video games, he keeps all our old TVs that I just want to go leave in an alley somewhere, and he even kept our old Windows '98 and Windows XP computer towers.
He would make a fine minister of the mechanicus

This game is pretty. Might need to open in a new tab to see in better resolution, but the textures on people and their clothes is something I can never get over.
Round 2 of Shilling but
The bloody baron is easily one of the best characters in a video game I have met. I was actually disappointed when his arc concluded because it meant no more bloody baron story stuff.
I'm not sure what it is about him, but he was just such a compelling character <.<
I thought he was a pretty fantastic character too
Spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't played the game/Finished the Bloody Baron arc Spoiler I felt so bad when I had inadvertently caused him to hang himself, he was such a cool character and that really got to me
Spoilers in here chaps Spoiler egh yeah, I was livid. I then looked it up in my guidebook and the way the deck is stacked you basically have to know in advance what the death flags are for him otherwise he's probably going to bite the bullet. On my soontm replaythrough, with the DLC and shiet I'll make sure to save him.
When you finally hear the truth of how things came to pass, they captured the 'bad as each other' in a way that seems almost ripped straight from real life <.<
And to me, it was very difficult to blame the baron for his actions but at the same time you cannot excuse them. In the end he punished himself in a way that no mortal could inflict, Dea, that shit broke my mechanical blood pump when I realised what he was saying/had done.
10/10 character, easily the reason why TW3 is one of my 👌/10 games and probably one of the main reasons why I shill for it >_> Cause it's pushing 4am and I'm rambly and set on TW3 shilling General Voorhis is another solid lad. Spoiler I never quite understood why geralt says 'lol fugg off' to the emperor's offer of nilfgaard troops under the command of voorhis. Maybe that was the way I'd made choices through the game but the two seemed to get along well and then he's all like 'lolno'
I was kinda pissed at geralt then <_<

Ugh
I hope we don't get dragged into bailing out the saudis in this shitshow.
Now is a better time than ever to mend our relations with the Iranians and stay the fuck out of their business.
Unfortunately, I don't see the USA doing that. Makes me kinda sad actually. Both governments need to be shut the fuck down and a major conflict would be a great way to weaken public faith in the state. Not sure about Saudi Arabia but there is some hope for a secular nationalist takeover in Iran if cards are played right.
Don't actually see this playing out well though. Uncle Sam is going to have his hands all in any Iran-Saudi conflict, and you can bet Ivan and the PRC won't be far behind.
>tfw no politically neutral Iran to live in as an expat so you can check out historical sites, pray with based minority Christians and date qt Persian girls
I mean, I really really hope it doesn't but all I can see from this is every super power getting their dick ready for regime change/asset protection/interest preservation if this comes to blows. Easily the shittiest thing the UK has ever done is kneecap Iran like that. It's borderline ludicrous that our potential best ally in the region is considered a worst enemy and our 'best ally' actively funds groups dedicated to the downfall of the west. It's gg all round.

I treat technology with care, i've never broken any piece of tech on purpose other than my headset, which I threw at a wall.
I have only commited such a sin once I threw a little earbud thing onto my desk in irritation and it popped the casing open. Then I fixed it and felt silly <_<

Percussive Maintenance is an approved rite of the mechanicus
You just have to be careful not to leave any lasting damage to the machine because creating resentment in it's machine-spirit is going to lead to electrocution, gassing, disintegration, explosions and worse.

Nothing like a bit of evangelising on a sunday in the name of the omnissiah
but as a more serious than technotheological question, how do you treat technology in general?
Were you brought up in a house devoid of the digital until you were already reasonably old? And does this correspond to you treating machines carefully and respectfully because of their cost and value?
Were you brought up with an iphone in your cradle? Do you drop it in the street constantly like a filthy heretek?
The questions here aren't just the usual crazy psy's religious shilling, but more one of psychological curiosity. Whether early exposure to technology devalues it or if it makes no difference?
Generally speaking a lot of the users here fall around the 20 years old mark, give or take a couple of years so it's a fairly close sample to look at in terms of technological availability/progress but the variables will come down to family wealth and access to tech at an early age (amongst other things)
So yeah, if you wouldn't mind describing your general approach and outlook on all things sacred and technological then that would be quite dandy.
