If the person in question chooses not to attend because they just don't want to, that's completely justified in my opinion.

Not that a campaign's press release is ever indicative of the whole issue, but this is Trump's official statement. He should be criticized for skipping out because he doesn't want to go.

It comes down to a couple of things imo
The first - if you just downright hate it, and I don't mean dislike stereotypical aspects of it but full on loathe chinese cartoons then it's a waste of everyone's time to try to change that.
If you have an open mind, but just generally dislike it then chances are it's down to what you've watched before. There is an obscene amount of content utter shite out there, which is also a matter of taste but eh there really is a lot of crap to sift through for something decent to watch.
For a quick example there are about 45 shows airing at the moment
of those I'm watching 4 and I'd say only one maybe two of those is something I look forwards to each week. That leaves around 40 shows that I wouldn't even bother with the first episode of. I might be missing out on some in there but eh point being there is more shite than stuff worth watching.
If it's just that what you've watched in the past was boring/shit then I'd suggest watching something different that might be more to your tastes <_<
So if you've got some general preferences, chances are the weebs on here can recommend something you might like.
Scifi/fantasy/gore/cutesy/comedic/tragic etc

Grab your torch and pitchforks lads I liked the prequels, the OT are meh (Film order of preference 2, 5, 3, 1, 6, 4) The EU is silly and just comes off as a clusterfuck of fanfiction It's mostly the lore that I find grating, but that's pretty much the same for most universes outside of 40k (best girl) and that's probably to do quality control on EU stuff (Halo is far worse than Star wars mind you) I don't really dislike star wars, it's just not my cup of tea.

well if you enjoyed black lagoon you'd probably like Gangsta, I'd just warn you in advance that it has such a non-ending I'm still pissed off 8 months down the line. iirc the studio got ganked so they just left it half finished.

Gate if you want to watch the Japanese self defence force kick the shit out of knights and dragons etc (Modern Military vs Fantasy = E.E)
Chaika is great but hard to describe
Death Parade is an interesting look at people's deaths and the afterlife (Kinda buddhist stuff mind you)
and Gangsta is a pretty dark show in a pretty dark city, but aside from the ending it's quite good
Gate sounds siiick. I'll get around to that one eventually. It's now on my top 5 to watch.
Death parade=Buddhist stuff? Ech. But hey, could be cool?

Yessss It is, but as baha has said it's got it's flaws <.< ye, just be prepared for an ending that will annoy you (unless they do a second season) Not that I know of, but i could be wrong

I really liked the set up for Death Parade but it was executed kind of poorly tbh
In what way though?
idk I'd probably be able to articulate it better closer to when I watched it but it has a really great setup for exploring a bunch of different characters and moral questions and it tries to do that but most of the arcs just aren't really that great, they tend to feel artificial
It also does the thing where it just barely implies there's something more interesting going on in the setting and never actually shows it, and not really in a way that feels satisfying
the OP is perfect though 10/10
^I kinda had that problem too The show felt like it was always just out of reach of what it was trying to get to, if it had a better overarching story I think it would have been significantly better >_> It's a bit hard to describe, but it felt like 90% of a jigsaw puzzle <_<

Was somewhat enjoying that until that random rape scene out of nowhere followed immediately by another awkward homoerotic moment in one of the latest episodes.
Ehh yeah I wasn't too pleased by that, there are a few things in Gate I don't really like but watching a modern army dissect an enemy force is just too good to pass up. The Valkyrie episode for example.
