And man you guys are slow. I've had NG+ beaten since like 2 weeks after that patch came out.

I was holding off for the DLC to drop so that I could play through it all as one big e.e
but eh i got impatient so i'll just take my time with this playthrough and it should coincide with the next dlc too
Trouble for me was the story was still fresh in my head, so i didn't want to just rerun everything I'd already done and go gg in a couple of weeks.

should at least slow me down until B&W is out
Yeah, it should take you awhile. It took me like 60 hours just to finish NG+ I think. Then I spent another good bit of time doing side stuff. And I still have side stuff left. Hearts of Stone will only give you 15 hours or so so it's not too long. But that should give you enough time for when Blood and Wine comes out. Which is supposedly in June. Not confirmed yet though. But Blood and Wine adds an entire new region. I can see it easily adding 30 hours or more to the game. Can't wait.

You're doing well. I know numerous people who gave up already.
I nearly gave up last night tbh I was getting a bit tired of going through the bridge with the dragon on over and over and over again but ee, gave it one more shot and did it that time. It helps being in a party full of people playing it too, I get that some people enjoy figuring things out for themselves but eh, having a few basic pointers doesn't rub me the wrong way <_<

what the fuck even is this melee
Scenario 1) I shoot enemy A in the face with a shotgun, enemy just runs up to me and literally smashes my skull with his knee
Scenario 2) I shoot enemy A in the face and then go in for the melee which hits him with all the force of a wet noodle. Player A then proceeds the same skullfuck execution as in scenario 1
Scenario 3)Enemy rushes around the corner, and I panic press the melee button resulting in me clotheslinging the fucker to death.
Scenario 4) Sneak up behind player A and try to melee him. I instead give him a pat on the back and 3 of hos teamates come out of nowhere and melt me with shotguns
Can someone please explain how this shit works
It's usually down to armour plating If you stack up enough buffs you can tank enough damage to kill you twice over and still live to kill the other guy. Try using the vital signs buff to check out their armour/health gauge. Glory kills only activate when they flash yellow up close, you have to weaken them enough to do it first which is usually not wurf.

somewhat I giggled when I met solaire, all these years of memes and then to finally see him in the flesh was something The fights themselves aren't too bad (so far) but it's mostly the slog to a new area and then having to turn back when you run out of health/estus is a bit e____e

I hear tremendous things about NG+ My gripe with the main game is post story you mulch everything in your path so it's a bit... eeeeeee to keep playing. But on this? The wolves in white orchard are gonna be lv.30-40. ;-;7

The big chaos dude with the third eye or the preorder thing?
I'm not too good with Warhammer characters outside of the big guys and I don't into chaos at all.
It doesn't strike me as any named character though, looks kinda like a generic chaos warlord.

I just assumed it was Archaon the Everchosen.
could be that i only really know orks/empire and the odd dwarf name for warhammer 40k is my jam
