Eh, if you like it then that's fine.
I didn't mind it in titanfall but it grated to see CoD go from a formula I enjoyed (WAW-BO2) and add in all the wall running, X-ray vision etc. If they return to the old style of games I'd be right back on it, but there isn't much draw to all the scifi bollocks they do lately.
COD is a sci-fi FPS now. That's just how it is. There's a huge difference between even MW and BO2, with BO2 having a ton of sci-fi elements and MW being a realistic, tactical shooter.
If you accept that, you'll see that Black Ops 3 is a fun, fast paced game. The main reason people seem to dislike it is because of what I just said; people want Call of Duty to return to its roots. But that's never going to happen, and criticizing a game based on that false hope alone is misguided.
I wish the genre change would've been more announced, but it did change. If you don't like sci-fi shooters, then the franchise just isn't for you moving forward.
I know, which is why my interest in it died off a couple of years back. BO2 was fun, but I didn't like the direction it took compared to the first one. I'm sure it is, but it's not my thing anymore. I like full scifi stuff, or MMS stuff. I don't like the kind of messy hybrid of the two that Ghosts, AW and BO3 went with (although to be fair BO3 went more for outright scifi). Edit to add the edit But yeah, it's not my cup of tea now. I'd like to see an MW2 remaster, but it's a faint hope either way.
