Gaming / Re: Fallout 4 survival - literally a completely different game« on: May 07, 2016, 04:55:08 PM »Ah good, I would be fine with the sleep-save system as long as the game is stable. I had a few crashes a little while back, nothing major but it would steam my jimmies to have to redo a long quest because of a bluescreen.A lot of people took issue with the whole sleep to save thing, but I love it. It's the only real way to give death meaning. In the vanilla game, if you see a big fire and activity in the distance, you can quicksave and check it out. If it turns out to be a big Gunner base and they shoot you down, no big deal, you just reload. In survival, you have to make tactical choices like whether or not to investigate the camp, how to do so, whether to just scout it out or attack it, and such, because you're fearing for your life. And when you narrowly escape the clutches of death, it feels so much more rewarding than in the base game. It's definitely a big change, and I've had to repeat several parts upwards of four times (getting Reba II was so hard), but in general, sleep to save makes everything more dramatic and meaningful. That sounds perfectHow does the damage model feel? I've got another week before I can get my teeth into survival mode and I'd like to know how it feels. If you shoot a leveled Raider anywhere but the head once, even the torso, they're nearly dead. Like, 80% of their health gone. If you have something like a shotgun at close range or a high-power rifle, even that alone will kill them. With a headshot, pretty much any gun in the game will one shot a raider. Things like Super Mutants are different, they take three or four body shots to bring down. A headshot with a decent rifle (or any headshot with a sneak attack) will one shot them, though. 1958

Can you give a few examples of how much killing your average raider requires? One that's appropriately scaled to your level and you aren't using a trash-gun or a baton etc It'd be nice if a headshot feels like a headshot, because even with the multipliers and the like it pisses me off to nail someone in the eyesocket with a .50 and have them laugh it off <_< 1962

Which of course made me really popular on servers after a few rounds of facerape :| but that's par for the course. Hardline tho they gave me god's gift to snipers in that game the trayvon the threehunna knockout the OHK sniper rifle at any distance within 50m Round after round of endless killing with that beautiful bastard gun ;-;7 I ended up stopping because I felt like I was worse than the M16A3 cancer doing that (reminisce o' clock for psy apparently) 1969
Gaming / Re: PC stuff round 2« on: May 06, 2016, 05:18:36 PM »YeYou're right. 980 is a bit pricier than I thought. If it was me though I would still go for the i5. I just don't think the i7 is worth the extra cash. Just look at this video: https://youtu.be/Vvd_leZqSyAIt looks like an i5 would be around 150If future proofing is important to you then you should be spending more on the gpu and less on the cpu. An i5 with a gtx 980 would perform miles ahead of an i7 with a gtx 970 and would be roughly the same price.yeah definitely get an i5 you wont notice a difference with the i7. And personally id go for an r9 390 over the 970. Same price but performs better and has more vram. if you wanna stick with nvidia tho I understandhmm i mean it might not be noticeable now but i do want to keep it futureproofed for a few years at least I've been looking at a few options today though, I think i'll be fine to get a 980/i7 prebuilt fairly soon that way it'll last me for a good few years to come <.< 1970

CSLR4 - Easy 100m sniping (there is a reason why it's the intro rifle) Scout Elite - Doubletapping at short-mid range, if you aren't a headshotter then it's for you M40a5 - Rapid headshot chaining at mid .338 recon - running and gunning at short-mid L96 - solid midrange rifle with the bonus of firing two shots in a steadied breath* FYJS - max agility countersniper rifle M98baller - Extreme range countersniper or bipod support rifle SRR-61 - trickshotter trashgun CS5 - suppressed with no penalty (within a certain range) SV-98 - ironsighting or free equivalent of the L96 SR338 - dmr hybrid but shit because of spread only clone rifle is the Jng-90 - M98baller but for turkroaches *forgot the asterisk this might be down to the squad perk or have been removed but I remember playing with it doing this for a long ass time. 1971

I'm just poking around at different places for the moment though, but depending on how things go I might be able to get an i7/980 build for quite a reasonable price <.< 1978
