That sucks, bruv.
yeah, but it's probably for the best really gives me a bit longer to research it and to weigh up if the new GTX 1080/70 is worth the extra expenditure. If it turns out to be all they claim it is, I might save up a little longer and stretch for one of them. Still, omnissiah provided my laptop holds out I'm not in any great hurry but the war of the five shitposters may have to wait a little longer ;-;7

If you've been feeling flat and empty for a while, struggling to find interest in things and are starting to neglect personal care (cooking, cleaning etc) which is all pretty much what's listed in the OP then that's a pretty common signifier of depression.
So I'm glad you've already decided to go and see a psych of some kind, because I think it will be a sensible move to tackle this before it becomes set in and particularly hard to shift.
With regards to the stigma, it very often boils down to people just not understanding the condition. It's hard to know what it feels like if you haven't experienced it before, you can have colourful metaphors aplenty but they only do so much. It's bloody difficult going into a shrink's office for the first time, but they will be there to help you feel comfortable talking and to see what they can do to help you get better.
Thanks, it's good to get your perspective on this. I was hoping you'd show up, actually.
I was going to go to the student care at campus today, but I couldn't find them where they are supposed to be according to my uni's website. So I guess I'll go straight to the real deal, as they have clearer directions of where to find them and I can't be arsed to play detective to find people who may not even be able to help properly.
No problem That may be for the best, if you have access to it then making an appointment with the proper services is likely a good idea. You should be in good hands when you are seen, but if you ever have any questions or need to talk about it then feel free to PM me or quote me in here.

This is fairly relevant too I saw this a couple of months back and well That's kinda why the dual wielding just looked daft to me when it was on the other night, it's not really that effective (with two swords).

No one else triggered by dual wielding Arthur Dayne?
I mean, it's like the writers are 15 year old weebs.
As opposed to the ACTUAL scene where he wields a magical sword crafted from a fallen star.
Yeah, the show's version is way more childish..
Yeah it is actually. There was really no point in actively disregarding the source material other than to make the scene look extra kewl and cater to normies impressed by flashy fight scenes.
They had to make Dayne give a lasting impression, which would have been pretty impossible to pull off with him fight 4 guys at one time with one sword without a LOTR-esque fighting scene
You can also do that without having him dual weld like an autistic anime character.
^this
That whole fight scene was appalling.
The greatest swordsman who ever lived flails around like a dying trout and the mob of veteran soldiers fought with the coherency of a brawl in a town centre.
How do you expect them to appear coherent when fighting the "greatest swordsman who ever lived"? I thought the fight scene was pretty fucking badass, it needed to almost unbelievable to put into perspective how good he was.
There is being put off by a tough opponent and flailing at him in a mess.
There was no technique, no tactic to it. Just wail on him and make a big clangy show of things for the camera.
Do you ever watch two unevenly matched pro sports teams playing? Both train extensively and dedicate most of their lives to playing said sport, but when they meet in the field the better team makes the other look like children. Same here. It's hard to have tact, keep your composure and not look like a flailing mess of a child when you're up against something or someone several leagues ahead of you.
Which would have been fine if Dayne actually seemed threatening in the fight, he just came off as trying too hard. Two full length swords are pretty impractical to fight with and it really showed in the way he was handling them. The thing with being trained with weapons though, is that you aren't meant to turn into moms spaghetti the minute someone 'better' than you is trying to kill you. 2:18 - spinning and clanging his swords together Looks cool but it's a good way to damage the edge on your swords 2:43 - his back is wide open and the guy stands there like a lemon 2:45 - more spinning again, good way to get disarmed by having a silly showboating grip on the weapon rather than a solid hold and stance 2:50 onwards - ayy lmao Hammering the blades together like that looks and sounds cool, but it's just going to fuck up the blades The bit where it goes to 1 v 1 wasn't too bad, but overall it was just a whole lot of flashy nothing If he'd had one sword and just cut down everyone who came at him, one by one with some nasty efficiency then that would have been perfect. Instead he faffs around with two making a big dance of it and it just comes off as amateur.

I'm sure they'll grow on me considering I've felt the same lukewarm/ew reaction to all of the last 3 gen starters.

Psy and reason why you're not an actual Psychologist yet?
5 years of study down, 1 more and I'm a psychologist (although that's the title, in practice I'd be an assistant psychologist). after that it's 4-5 more years and I'll be a fully fledged clinical psych.
It takes a long time.
I never knew pseudoscience was such a long road
Yep, you spend about a decade learning the arts of misdirection and dissembling.

I'd say he understands it fine, for reach at least. Sure, you can't generalise and say that reach was the perfect cookie cutter halo formula, but it was still a good game in it's own right. OP likes it, you don't but because you have a higher body count that... invalidates his experience and opinions?
He didn't say it like that though. He said that it "offers the classic Halo gameplay." It doesn't. I'm allowed to criticize that. I only brought up his stats because he responded to my first post in a weird way. Check a few posts up where I quoted it.
Oh I saw that and I don't see any issues there
it's statchecking that is what drew me into this
There are better ways of discussing something with someone than resorting to pulling up stats from a game they played years ago. Address his points and make your own case where you disagree, but you don't need to resort to the lolbadkid arguments that makes discussing multiplayer games a pretty futile endeavour.
I did do that. Look through the thread and you'll see that I did address his arguments. My only other choice when he says something that fucking stupid is for me to go buy xbox live and reach and challenge him to a 1V1 bro. I had mathematical proof that he was acting like a moron readily available, and you expect me not to use it? Puhhhleeeaaassse. I could have just laughed it off but I don't like it when thumbless retards go around saying things like that.

Or you could not?
You'll never win someone over with an antagonistic argument, so unless you aren't actually seeking to do anything other than have a spat with someone it's kind of silly.
Never say never. Sometimes they get it, shut up, and let me explain where they went wrong. Sometimes they double down on the stupidity and wait for people to come protect them from the truth.
But again that's a pretty hostile stance to be bringing into a conversation.
What happens if after all of that, you realise that in actual fact you were incorrect in the first place? Hypothetically speaking.
There is a lot to be said for talking to someone politely and as an equal.
If I were to realize that I were factually incorrect I would apologize for not properly sourcing my information. Or was that a rhetorical question? I think you know better, so it should have been. Idk why you're chastising me for this. He's the one who came at me with that weird "I could beat your ass any day" attitude. Yeaaahhh I was a bit condescending in my first post, maybe I baited him a little bit, but he still said it. AND he's the one who had their facts wrong. Hop off bro.
Rhetorical naturally. I'm just saying that if you want someone to see your point of view, you won't get it across by needling them. Talk to them, explain why you disagree and be cordial with them.

Reach is a well polished FPS,that offers the classic Halo gameplay i disagree
that offers the classic Halo gameplay, with the addition of Armor Abilities. Only insofar as there are guns. Armor abilities weren't the only diverging mechanic. Loadouts alone - There are no loadouts.... I have already mentioned in the review, that people start of with a armor ability, you can not choose weapons or anything. - with were a huge step away from core classic Halo gameplay. Across the board, map design was extremely different too - Yea, the maps were not the best, but Reach did have some really good maps, like paradiso, Spire, Countdown. Map quality is not a feature of classic halo. - (reach's maps were the worst the series had seen by a long shot before halo 4 came out). Then there's the addition of bloom & different player physics. Again... read the whole review, bloom is mentioned,
Maybe you're talking out of your ass because you never really played the good Halo games - I have played every single Halo game (spartan Assault/Strike/Halo Online are jokes so they don't count) , or maybe you have played them and are just bad/retarded - I could beat your ass anyday on Halo 2 Classic, or Reach. , but anyone with half a brain who has played CE/H2/H3 can see that Reach's default multiplayer is almost NOTHING like them. It takes some steps away from them, but is not that different.
what the fuck is this post formatting? are you high?
There are no loadouts.... I have already mentioned in the review, that people start of with a armor ability, you can not choose weapons or anything. False. Tons of playlists in Reach where you choose different weapons via loadout menu. Paradiso and Spire were awful. Countdown wasn't terrible but it wasn't good. The only good map in that game was Zealot, and even then they had to remove the space level to make it playable from a competitive standpoint. You couldn't beat me in any Halo game because I'm actually good and you have a bunch of water in your skull where your brain should be.
*Sigh* Invasion is literally the only mode where you can choose your loadout. You spent way too much time in customs. Paradiso was an awesome, map. It was vehicle focused map. Spire offered many types of engagements. I could easily beat you.
Invasion was not the only loadout playlist, what the fuck are you talking about? I almost never played custom games. Those maps were fucking garbage.
And, just for the record.

Problem? He's bad and I can prove it with math. It's relevant to OP, too, since it's quite obvious that he doesn't really understand the game. Bad player, bad review.
Not so much of a problem, more of an amusing sight. I haven't seen someone statcheck since I was last on battlelog a year and a half ago and even then it was a rare sight. I'd say he understands it fine, for reach at least. Sure, you can't generalise and say that reach was the perfect cookie cutter halo formula, but it was still a good game in it's own right. OP likes it, you don't but because you have a higher body count that... invalidates his experience and opinions? By that measure, I could shut down anyone on this forum's gripes with Battlefield because i've got some unholy stats in it... Except I wouldn't, because that would be pretty childish.

yes, i'll be keeping it in mind but idk how much it will impact a prebuilt price

i guess with the prebuilt you get the warranty
you learn a lot from building but im not going to decide that for you
Yeah, I am aware of the benefits of doing it yourself but i'd rather just get it running since my current laptop is really starting to struggle with anything beyond word processing/browsing. Bit more hassle free to buy it and set it up rather than source the parts and build it too, which is good if you have the time to do it but i'm not too blessed with downtime these days.

nvidia just announced their new pascal cards
better than titan x performance at less than half the price with both the gtx 1070 and 1080
released later this month, with new geometric ref cooler design

you could either go with your current build or wait for the new cards to come out
that said i can sell you my gtx 970 for super cheap if I want to get one of these soon but dont count on it
I saw something about this the other day, I might drag my feet a little to see how they play out but it's looking reasonably likely i'll be getting the prebuilt with the 980/i7. Kinda just weighing it up at the moment.
