How aboooooooooooooooooooooout you don't disgrace people who put their lives on the line simply to get your jimmies excited?

As long as they carry over what they learned from BF4, there is no cause for concern about BF1

Not to over generalize, but there tends to be a correlation between a game's level of macho, adrenaline-fueled violence and the amount of... let's politely say "heated debate" that it attracts online.

What a load of wank.

The Flood / Re: How do WE stop Racism in the united states?
« on: June 01, 2016, 04:45:34 AM »
You can't really fix racism as a concept, because there will always be prejudice in people.

The best thing you can do is challenge it one by one, and I don't mean getting assblasted over ironic shitposting on twitter and the like. Actual racism/prejudice rather than parody. One of the better conceptions is contact theory, but that is predicated upon the experience actually being positive.

It's a bit hard to improve a person's perceptions of another group, if said group treats them in a way that conforms to their prejudices... well you aren't gonna be shifting that thought any time soon.

Mods are out on xboner
Seen any that would upset bethesda yet?

I want to believe that someday they will be lax and allow a window of downloading opportunity for me to get a nice pointy hat and armband mod ;-;
The killable children mod is there, have to have a good look and see though
qeq

I hope that appears on the PS4 one too, even though there are next to no children in the game for some reason.

I genuinely can't tell if these are edits or real.

They're real. I'm not even upset, I'm dying right now. I knew it was bad, but I didn't know just how bad it was.
Even the

[UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ON ISRAEL???] one?

https://archive.is/JUtWY

I think so. I wasn't sure about that one either, but seeing some of the content they've released I wouldn't be surprised.

Got around 2/3 of the way through Far Harbor. I'm taking a break until the performance patch for PS4 is released (yeah yeah ">playing Fallout on console" I know)

In the mean time, I got Automotron, and I enjoyed it more than I expected. Creating robots is fun, but it does absolutely drain your resources (I am now on an eternal quest in search of aluminum). I like ADA, she's a rather saddening character, given the way she sounds when she asks of she can come with you. She seems very lonely and driven to impress her masters.

I built Jezebel the most ungainly, awful body ever. I gave her a sentry bot body with Protection arms and legs.

I made a Robobrain and I named him "Brainbot". Not too creative, but I was bored.
Mahkra fishpacking north-east of the map has something like 50 aluminium trays

The Flood / Re: Energy Drinks

The tiredness is likely a side effect of relying on energy-drinks to wake you up constantly, i.e caffeine addiction.
Especially if you are getting tremors from them.

Try to cut down on them, you don't have to go cold turkey with it just try to avoid stuff that's a bit like meth mixed with glucose.
I never thought about that. It's probably what fukked over my sleep pattern, damn.
That too, energy drinks are pretty shit for your health on many levels.

If you wean off them, you might find your normal sleep pattern re-asserting itself.

The stink of corruption is notable even across the pond.

Local leader is really good, too
It's basically a required perk for all playthrough tbh

Even if you have jack shit to do with settlers, being able to build up your own houses with crafting benches is kinda... necessary.

As much as I love the traintrack memes, please don't bork this thread with them lads.
dammit i had like 8 more stupid fucking situations
Make a thread for them then 👌
i want to ruin yours tho
Then the God-Emperor will strike you down like a bernout supporter.
i like the term breadline bernie better
Breadline Bernie works best for referring to Sanders himself, but Bernouts are his low-energy supporters.

I'm grinding through revision for the year and I found this story again in one of the textbooks, it seemed interesting enough to get the flood's thoughts on it.

Quote
Heinz’s wife was dying from a particular type of cancer. Doctors said a new drug might save her. The drug had been discovered by a local chemist and the Heinz tried desperately to buy some, but the chemist was charging ten times the money it cost to make the drug and this was much more than the Heinz could afford.

Heinz could only raise half the money, even after help from family and friends. He explained to the chemist that his wife was dying and asked if he could have the drug cheaper or pay the rest of the money later.

The chemist refused, saying that he had discovered the drug and was going to make money from it. The husband was desperate to save his wife, so later that night he broke into the chemist’s and stole the drug.

The questions for consideration are:
1. Should Heinz have stolen the drug?
2. Would it change anything if Heinz did not love his wife?
3. What if the person dying was a stranger, would it make any difference?
4. Should the police arrest the chemist for murder if the woman died?

This was demonstrated fairly recently by some fellow jacking the price of an HIV drug through the roof after buying the rights to it cheaply, but I can't remember his name.

I love how a discussion about AI boiled down to 'muh dik' arguments.

Serious is getting more seriouser needs a bit of a facelift but it still applies, I haven't got time to comb the thread for every single infraction but this last page is pretty clear as to who is throwing insults. So verb if there are posts by challenger ITT that you feel violate the same rule, please either report them or PM them to me and I'll get to them in due course but for now it's a slap out of serious for a day or so depending on previous.

I'll unlock and clean up this abomination of a thread later but essays to write, revision to do etc etc etc
