Bought a pre-paid card at the store earlier and downloading BF4 now. Any word on when the DLC will be free yet?

It's been free throughout the year so far, they offer one up for free every so often but afaik there isn't a set timetable for it.

And sure, I'll play with some people. Not typically a fan of the casual BS that is vehicular combat (hate me, I don't care), but I'll probably manage.

Ye, don't worry about the vehicle stuff too much. As an example of last night, we had one round with an infantry group dug in outside the enemy spawn to hold off their tank onslaught whilst Tru and I were cleaning up the map points in an attack chopper. Then there are other maps where it's primarily infantry for the full squad or more.

Bethesda and Sony haven't really had an amicable relationship in the past. Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim as well as Far Harbour have all had really bad issues on PS3/4 compared to Xbox and PC, and after Skyrim released utterly broken on PS3 there was a lot of arguing between Beth and Sony over whose fault it was. Plus, Playstation uses its own proprietary audio stuff so I'm guessing that's why Sony are not allowing sound.
So no radio/ custom gun mods that add new sounds.
wew Guess I'll just do as I intended and keep the PS4 version 100% vanilla and just use the PC version for any mods.

My only raised eyebrow is why they chose to make the frogs DLC rather than the Italians or the knock-off krauts austrians.

And it was garbage.
Literally the only good bit about DOW2 was the last stand mode and the copious amounts of memes it spawned.
Regardless of whether or not we liked it, it is considered a good RTS by many people and that's why DoW 3 is going to continue down the path 2 started. I absolutely hate what 2 did, but it seems like we're in the minority.
Another RTS that has a similar cap and unit cost is the base Company of Heroes
CoH was fine because it was fitting for the design of the game DOW went from large scale to Moba tier shite DOW 3 looks like a bastard hybrid of 1 and 2 and I'm not looking forwards to it further ruining the original. It's gonna be a mediocre promo-game It's what I hate about some of the newer BL fiction too, half of the books are dripping with intext advertisements for the new lines of models they are shitting out.

I wouldn't go that far. Polls across the board are showing increasing momentum for the Leave campaign--both phone and online--and if anything could be underestimating the Leave vote due to flaws in the way the data is collected.
I'm still not inclined to believe their results after the last general though, but I mean they are probably right about this given how outspoken a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of people are regarding the EU (i.e no 'shy tories').

I'm fairly resigned to it at this point.
The polls are useless and each side is crowing dominance but going by the people I know and see in the shop (the regular customers who stop to chat) I won't be surprised at all when the results say 'Out'.
The remain campaign has been the most half-arsed limp-dick scaremongering train that I can remember and the out campaign has no grasp of statistics or the finances of the country (muh 350 gorillion for the nhs).
