Not everyone is as laid back about corruption as you then. I don't care about Quinn's views, or her game. I do however care about not seeing corruption run rampant because people are apathetic over it.

Dew n Doritos reviewing is already fucking up AAA games, making them warp to fit the perceived standard of reviewing. Nobody is trying anything new, the ones that do seem to just get panned by critics and it's just frustrating to see shittier and shittier games get churned out because of this.

No, care about the corruption that matters. Prioritize. The US Chamber of Commerce regularly pushes for lax rules about offshoring US jobs to China, India and Thailand. They have one of the largest lobbying budgets in the world. Every politician that takes their money is responsible for every unemployed person that could be building cars, computers, or anything else that should be manufactured here. When your friends graduate from where ever with a CompSci degree, why they have to compete with a guy in India willing to write that same code for $15 an hour!

Well of course, but caring about one does not mean you cannot care about another. That being said, there isn't a whole lot I (as a britbong) can do about corruption on that scale in the USA. I can put effort into tackling it in the UK, but again that's just a drop in the water <.< So the appeal I suppose, of a smaller scale corruption in media incident is that it's easier to tackle on a smaller scale. Then it sets something of an example, or that's at least what I would hope happens. As for my personal involvement in the shit that's going on, I'm just trying to keep informed as to what is going on. Hence this thread.

Well that's sort of the point, it would be nice if it wasn't utterly corrupt shite. Take Empire magazine for example, it's a Film industry related one and it's pretty respectable as far as I know, if you are a film buff then that's probably something you would enjoy reading. (Or something similar) And yet, for Video Games, the only semi-reliable source of information is either direct/first hand (Which costs you money) or Forums which are mostly an opinion shitfest rather than any actual journalism. Instead of proper reviews, we get 10/10 Dew n Doritos scores from eejits like IGN and instead of news we get retards like Sharquiesian (Sarkeesian) ranting on and trying to drag SJW/Neo-Feminism into shit like Mario and Castlevania. Forgive me for wanting to be able to find out about games on a gaming news site. That's aside from the corruption evident by the whole 'gamers are dead' news spam that all went out on the 28th of august pretty much simultaneously for all the sites under the sun. Or people destroying other indie companies out of spite to boost their own scores/sales. It's rotten to the core and needs to be fixed before this shit starts spreading into the games themselves (Even further).
