If I break the rules just ban me. But what you guys are doing here is pretty gay. And if you're moderated like me, check your account. This only 10% of the warning level. Shoot I never complain if I get banned or anything, but this is just stupid. I talked a bunch of shit to DeeJ in his own thread (on b.net obviously) and it was full of kids in that thread. Didn't get banned. I don't see why I'm on the moderated list here on a place that's supposedly trying to be better than Bungie.
I just think this type of punishment is more suited for somebody that does a little more than get into a few arguments on the Serious section. Putting a bunch of people on the moderated list is not only a ton of extra work for the mods and makes their time far less enjoyable here, it makes the moderated person's time less enjoyable too and drives members away. It's one thing to be banned then come back and post what you like, but being censored like this is some totalitarian bullshit.
Bungie did fine in the old Flood days with just simple bans. They still do fine with bans. Something like this should be saved for really problematic users.
I am inclined to agree, I think there might need to be a more refined system of Warning/Moderating being implemented. It is supposed to be a reminder to behave yourself but I think this does need discussing more with Cheat. The idea is to prevent any rule breaking posts from being posted by someone on probation, as a proactive filter rather than some kind of censorship system (Although that is what it is I suppose). It needs some work.

That specific warning is listed as for Antagonising a user in the serious board. It's a 10% one and it expires in the morning when it becomes watched instead.

Alright so this has been raised several times tonight.
As far as I understand it, the main highlighted point has been PSU's goodbye thread which quickly turned into a shitfest. There were some issues with the moderation actions taken and some participation in the shitflinging itself.
Both of these specific points have been addressed, PSU is no longer Moderated as that was an excessive warning and the person in particular has been spoken to about their participation.
The bigger picture of perceived bias for and against certain members is an issue that needs addressing and it is being figured out, the important things to remember are that the new rules implemented today require some adjusting to on behalf of the moderation team and the community. It's not just an easy light switch on and off, which is in part why I have encouraged some leniency tonight to ease people into things.
I want to emphasise a few things.
-If you see something you don't like, you think that someone is getting away with attacking/flaming another user then PM myself, one of the other moderators or Cheat over it. There is no need to make a hundred threads on the front page declaring it, not because it's about covering asses but because it's just straight up disruptive.
-I think the leniency plea is going to end pretty soon because I personally have been dealing with this shit for the last 8 hours, along with a lot of the other mods and monitors (And of course Cheat)
You have had some time to adjust, you've vented your frustrations and I've made a terrible botched job of cleaning up after you all <_< So, if you have any further complaints please post them in here.
I'm not going to censor anyone, if you have a complaint then bring it up. Just please do so cleanly without all caps and a howling stream of obscenities.
Any other questions can be posted here, it's not an exclusively moderation related thread.

He proved the moderation was biased, and would allow attacks so long as the mods didn't like the user.
There is still some adjusting to be done, on all fronts. Not all of the moderators have caught up with the new rules so some teething problems are to be expected. The leeway given presently is so that people aren't getting banned for things (Or giving out bans) for things that are only just being forbidden.

There should be a way for people to address issues with mods though. There's not much sense in being able to report a mod when they'll just see it themselves.
