Bravo. There is no Constitutional basis for this E.O nor is it relevant to his job as enforcer of the laws
Not to derail the thread, but is there some sort of reason you think it's appropriate to have a picture of Osama Bin Laden as your avatar? Is the death of 3,000 Americans funny to you? Was 9/11 a joyous day for you?

Show some god damn respect. You should be ashamed of yourself.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Standing up for what's right in this forum is like telling a kid to clean his room. You're all a bunch of fuckin kids with barely half a brain functioning caring more about how others perceive you than being yourselves. Grow up.
Is Kinder using an edgelord avatar hurting anybody? I mean, shit, sometimes we have Nazi avatars. I really don't see the problem. I don't see much of a point, either, but I don't see a point in half of the dumb shit Kinder does.

Much better.

Keep this civil people, I'd quite like to go to sleep soon so unless I can fob this off onto someone else the minute it goes nasty I'm going to get harsh <_____________<

What the hell is ORAS?

Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire, the Hoenn remakes that released today/next friday.
Oh... the 800th Pokemon game that is literally the same as all the rest. No thanks.
To each their own.

Do people no longer just play Pokemon games like back in the day? Just catching pokemon and going along with it? Now all I hear is things about shinies, pokebank and EV training.

Well the shiny hunting can be quite a lot of fun, and it adds an extra level of catching them all when you already have caught them all.

Pokebank is just wonderful though, since they never[/u] give you enough damn boxes in the game having the ability to store all of your pokemon from other generations together rather than spread throughout various cartridges is quite enjoyable <.<

As for the EV training, that's a competitive battling thing. I learned how to do it, and I tried it out on a greninja and it does make a notable difference to the power of the pokemon. However I don't do that normally because I don't do battling so it would be a wasted effort >.>

The IV stuff is quite fun though, at least for me because it's an extra element to the breeding side of pokemon <.< Which is what I enjoy the most, breeding and raising pokemon so having a bit of pseudo-DNA to work with is something that appeals to me >.>

It's all completely optional stuff though, it just adds an extra depth to the games for those who want to play around with it.

3 times on Bnet, (One was fair, one was a mistake on my part and was reduced and the third was bullshit that I totally don't hold a grudge for.)

Once on Halo Banpoint but that's hardly anything special, I think if I get the augmetics I want then I might actually live long enough to see it expire.

Countless servers on Battlefield 3, so many god damn butthurt badmins. I never once broke any of the server rules, but I would unleash the shrektal onslaught and that got me a few bans from the raging rectums of the server admins >_>

That's about it really <.<
Oh wait, four times on Bnet actually. The fourth one was kind of dumb but I did break the rules >_>

Mr. P is a lapsed Tory, and I certainly think he's naturally conservative in a similar way to me, although I'd hesitate to call him ideologically conservative.

It's true though, if I didn't hold such disdain for the present government I'd be inclined to vote tory <.<
I am certainly a more conservative than liberal person, in the looser sense of the term that is.

But my general dislike of privatisation (in particular of the NHS) would put me at loggerheads with most ordinarily conservative parties.

I don't have it yet >_>

However I've spent the run up to the release date making a few special pokemon to send over.

It's going to roughly look like this by the time I reach the pokemon centre/pokebank part.

Mudkip, Dat shiny beldum, Shiny Eevee/Umbreon (If RNGesus blesses me in the next 7 days of grinding) then the other three slots are kind of open/mixed.

I've bred a Skarmory, a Torkoal, a Sableye and a Ralts pair (M/F) but I'll be keeping them as reserve pokemon to leave a few spots open for ones to join me along the way <.<

I'm pretty sure they're in ORAS. At least, I know I saw Super Training and Amie in the trailers, not sure about the other stuff, though.

Ah that's good <.<
I would expect online trading and battling to be in it as much as I'd expect instant killtimes in Cawadoody >.>

Welp, I still have 7 days to grind Masuda eggs to get a shiny eevee to play through ruby with e.e

I wanted to get a shiny eevee for my girlfriend... 600 eggs and I gave up lol
For best chances, you need to combine the Masuda method with something like the Shiny Charm.

I was mesuda methoding but I got the game awhile after it came out so I couldn't complete my pokedex cuz nobody on b.net was really trading anymore
I completed the pokedex a few weeks ago (First time ever but fuck yes, all 713 odd pokemon)
I'm just missing a few of the event pokes but they don't count <.<

If you want me to help you complete it then send me a shopping list >.>
If it's anything legendary then I can do a data trade (Trade backs) but I might not be able to let ya keep them <.<

Thanks for the offer! Considering Ruby and saphire have like a billion legendarys, I'll play through them and see what all I can snag before I ask for help.

Hehe, sounds like a plan <.<
I bought a bunch of the games that I hadn't played and replayed them all to get the full set of legendaries >.>

But ORAS have something like 30 and I think between ORAS and XY you can catch all the pokemon ever <.<

Does anyone know why EU get it late?

Today was literally perfect for me, handed in 3 assignements, not work to do, Friday off. I could play it all done without interuption.

Next week I'll have 2 assignements and a mock exam to do...

There are two theories that I've seen.

1. The italians who broke the release date for X/Y got Europe a big ol' fuck you from nintendo.
2. They didn't have enough stock to make the worldwide release date so they decided to shaft the europoors.

Either way it's annoying.

Serious / Re: Obama to Announce Immigration Executive Orders Thursday
« on: November 20, 2014, 08:10:01 PM »

Details

Quote
President Barack Obama will announce this week that he is shielding about 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation and will travel to Las Vegas for an event Friday to promote it, according to sources familiar with the planning.

Senior administration officials began calling immigration reform proponents Wednesday to fill them in on plans for the rollout and the details of the proposal.

The executive actions will cover 4 million undocumented immigrants who would qualify for deferred deportations by using criteria such as longevity in the United States and family ties, according to sources briefed on the discussions. Another 1 million would receive protection through other means, two sources said.

There will be no special protections for farm workers or parents of Dreamers — two categories that groups had lobbied hard for — because there were concerns about those pieces clearing the legal bars, sources said. However, the administration officials noted in their calls, many people who fall into those categories would qualify if they have children who are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. Dreamers, in contrast, are undocumented immigrants who were brought to this country by their parents as minors.

Obama could announce his plans in a prime time speech Thursday, the senior administration officials told advocates, though it’s unclear that the speech will be broadcast at that time. Top aides, meanwhile, are suggesting that the president will go big.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson confirmed Wednesday that Obama will make his announcement “in the coming days” and that the reforms the president puts forward will be “comprehensive.” Speaking at an event hosted by the New Democrat Network, a left-leaning think tank, Johnson said the president has “fairly wide latitude” to act under the law.

“He’s going to go as far as he can under the law,” Domestic Policy Council Director Cecilia Muñoz said Tuesday. Still, the administration acknowledges that there are limits to what he can do. “He’s going to be the first to say that it doesn’t fix everything that’s broken.”

Dawn Le, of the Alliance for Citizenship, offered a hint at the timing in an email that the AFL-CIO’s Jeff Hauser forwarded to reporters before asking them to “ignore” the previous note.

“We hear there will be a prime time Thursday evening announcement (to preview) and full unveiling in Vegas on Friday,” Le wrote. “Unclear whether Thursday night content will be what is ‘celebratory,’ but Friday will be where we need a lot of energy guaranteed.”

The president’s turn to executive action comes after pushing House Republicans for more than a year to take up the immigration bill passed by the Senate in June 2013. Obama had long held out hope that House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) would bring the bill to the floor, but when the speaker told the president that he would not be holding a vote on it in 2014, Obama vowed in a Rose Garden speech to act on his own.
Obama had initially planned to announce executive actions on immigration at the end of the summer but in September the White House said he would put off a final decision until after Election Day, amid Democrats’ concerns that it would create another complication on the campaign trail ahead of the midterm elections.

With a nine-day trip to Asia and Australia behind him and Thanksgiving on the horizon, Obama has spent this week working out the final details of his announcement. The trip to Las Vegas brings him full circle from January 2013, when he launched a push pressuring Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform, repeating the mantra “now is the time.”

He spoke then at Del Sol High School, the same venue that local press reports say the White House has chosen for Friday’s announcement.

Republicans have been preparing to respond in large part by accusing Obama of overreach and by pointing to his repeated statements last year that he did not have the authority to act on certain pieces of immigration reform.

“If ‘Emperor Obama’ ignores the American people and announces an amnesty plan that he himself has said over and over again exceeds his Constitutional authority, he will cement his legacy of lawlessness and ruin the chances for congressional action on this issue – and many others,” Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said Wednesday.

Initial Democratic responses are more positive.

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) said Wednesday that Obama’s action would put him in the company of “great” presidents, including Abraham Lincoln and Harry Truman, who both used their executive authorities to expand rights for African Americans. “I think that President Obama ought to put himself alongside these … great presidents and use [an] executive order to do something big on immigration,” he said on MSNBC.
The legality of the president’s actions, Clyburn added, is up to the courts and not Congress. “Let’s let the courts decide whether it’s constitutional. That’s not for Congress to decide, that’s why we have courts to make that decision,” he said.

if anybody supports this they're actually autistic
